Datuk Syed Abdyl Rahman Alhabshi started off by saying that the IGP had called him and told him that if Najib ever becomes the Prime Minister then he had better leave the country.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

“Raja ada di mana?”

It was my old friend from the Parti Keadilan Nasional days, Zahid Md Arip, on the line. He did not have to even mention who was calling. His very loud “Sang Terubung Raja Petra Anak Raja Bugis” was a good enough introduction. And there was no mistaking who I was speaking to. Zahid had a certain ‘trademark’ that could almost be patented like the sound of a Harley Davidson exhaust pipe.

“I’m at the Bangsar Shopping Centre,” I replied in Bahasa Malaysia.

“How long are you going to be there?” he asked, also in Bahasa Malaysia.

“Not sure. Maybe another hour or so.”

“Can we come and see you? Someone wants to meet you. His name is Datuk Kamal Amir. Hold on, I’ll pass the phone to him.”

“Hello, Kamal Amir here. I would be most honoured if I can meet you. Can we have tea today?”

“Sure, no problem. What time you want to come here?”

“Where are you now?”

“Bangsar Shopping Centre.”

“Wah. Itu tempat orang kaya,” Datuk Kamal Amir joked. “I can be there in one hour. Is that too late?”

“Actually I’m almost finished. But never mind. I will wait for you.”

“Where to meet?”

“Come to the Dome.”

“Who was that?” my wife asked me.

“Not sure. Someone called Datuk Kamal Amir. Zahid’s friend.”

“Who is he?”

“Not sure. Must be someone important though. Zahid only mixes with important people.”

Zahid is the late Tun Ghafar Baba’s grandson and onetime Acting Youth Chief of Parti Keadilan Nasional during the time Ezam was in prison. He is one of those dubbed ‘The Dirty Dozen’, the twelve Parti Keadilan Nasional Youth leaders who crossed over to Umno just before the 2004 general election.

Politically, Zahid is ‘the enemy’. But I still maintain a cordial relationship with him in spite of our ‘political differences’, as I do with his uncle, Tamrin Ghafar, who I have no problems with and meet from time-to-time in the Bangsar Village for tea and sandwiches.

It was more than an hour before Zahid arrived and I was already feeling quite bored with all the waiting. Datuk Kamal was not with him. “Datuk is still in a meeting,” said Zahid. “He is coming along shortly.”

Datuk Kamal arrived about half an hour later. I expected someone big and intimidating, the sort of image you would expect from an Umno datuk. But Datuk Kamal was a small and very decent-looking sort of fellow. Not at all the normal Umno slime-ball and scumbag I had expected.

We hit it off in a mere five minutes and thereafter were chatting away as if we have known each other for years. They say the first few minutes are crucial. Either you take to each other or you do not. That goes for interviews as well. You have to impress the interviewers on the first take. The first impression counts and 50% of whether you get the job or not would depend on this. Thereafter, how you conduct yourself would either seal the job or you get shown the door.

We talked about everything in general and nothing in particular. It was, after all, a first meet, sort of a ‘getting to know you’ session.

“Hai, Datuk,” Datuk Kamal waved at someone walking by. The Datuk waved back and smiled and tried to hurriedly walk off. “Marilah duduk sebentar,” Datuk Kamal said while gesturing to an empty chair beside me.

This Datuk appeared hesitant and looked like he was not sure whether to accept the offer or instead just give an excuse and scurry out of there. But those who know Zahid would know that he is one persistent fellow who never takes ‘no’ for an answer. There was no way this Datuk was going to ‘escape’ and he knew it. So he sat down, whether that was what he really wanted to do or not.

I was introduced to this new Datuk. “Inilah Datuk Syed Rahman,” Datuk Kamal said as I shook hands with him. Datuk Kamal probably saw in my face that the name did not ring a bell. He looked Indian, as some Arabs do, and if I had not been told he was a ‘Syed’ I would have thought he was just another of those millions of Mamaks running around all over the country and making a nuisance of themselves.

“This is the Honorary Consul of Mongolia,” Datuk Kamal said. My face still did not show that I recognised this Arab. “You know, the Altantuya murder case.”

“Oh, that’s right.” Now I know whom this Datuk Syed Rahman is. He is that man always on TV beside Dr Sharriibuu Setev, Altantuya’s father. I inched closer to Datuk Syed Abdul Rahman Alhabshi, now that I knew who he is.

“Interesting,” I said. “I’m sure you can tell me a lot about the Altantuya murder which the newspapers are not reporting.”

“That would be dangerous talking to you,” Datuk Syed Rahman replied. “You will quote what I say in Malaysia Today.”

“No, I won’t mention your name,” I joked. “I’ll just say the Honorary Consul of Mongolia who wishes to remain anonymous.” There was laughter all around the table.

Datuk Syed Rahman started off by saying that the IGP had called him and told him that if Najib ever becomes the Prime Minister then he had better leave the country. “But I don’t care. I have told the Mongolian government that I want to buy a piece of land there and move to Mongolia. I don’t mind even giving up my Malaysian citizenship and settle down in Mongolia. So I don’t care what they want to do to me.”

“Why not then reveal what you know?” I asked. “What is stopping you from talking?”

“It is not that I’m scared. It is just that the court case is going on so it would be sub judice for me to talk about the issue. Plus, as the Mongolian Consel, I need to be professional and not simply talk.”

Nevertheless he did talk, and talk a lot on top of that, after I assured him that nothing would be reported in Malaysia Today and that his name would not be mentioned.

But that was before this. Now that he has gone on national TV and has acted very unprofessionally and unbecoming of a man of his status by ‘spilling his guts’ and lying on prime-time TV, then my ‘deal’ with him is now off. He has opened his mouth and has ‘testified’ on TV about what he knows about the Altantuya murder. I was prepared to keep his secret as long as he too keeps his secret, secret. But since he has now revealed all, then I too should not be bound by any ‘official secrets’ since these secrets are no longer secrets.

Datuk Syed Rahman’s shocker was about them finding the remains of seven or eight people at the murder site. “What? Seven or eight people? You mean Altantuya was not the only one murdered and dumped at that site?”

“Those two UTK are assassins. Their job is to get rid of people. And that murder site is the place where they get rid of the bodies by blowing them up.”

“Wow! This is dynamite.” For once I was flabbergasted and there is very little that can shock me.

“Not dynamite. C4,” joked Datuk Syed Rahman.

“Tell me,” I moved closer to Datuk Syed Rahman. “Did Najib order her murdered?”

“No, not Najib, Rosmah. She ordered the murder.”

“What? Rosmah?” I could not believe it. Datuk Syed Rahman smiled; pleased that at least for once someone could shock Raja Petra who never normally gets shocked by anything.

Datuk Syed Rahman related in great detail what really happened. And what he related was a far departure from what transpired in the trial. Unfortunately, because commenting on an ongoing trial is considered sub judice and can attract a jail sentence, I am certainly not at liberty to also reveal in great detail what this Arab told me. And what he told me was very different from what he said on TV last night.

Maybe one day, when the trial is over, I will be ‘free’ to talk about what Datuk Syed Rahman revealed in the Dome of the Bangsar Shopping Center that day, more than a year ago. But whether I will be ‘free’ in the real sense of the word or whether I will be speaking from behind the high walls of the Sungai Buloh or Kajang Prison is left to be seen. Maybe, after 16 September 2008, I will know.

In the meantime stay tuned to learn more about what the Honorary Consul of Mongolia, Datuk Syed Abdul Rahman Alhabshi, revealed in 2007 in the Dome of the Bangsar Shopping Centre. The story is nothing short of what Hollywood movie scripts are made of.

This is astounding stuff, just astounding. Hollywood political thrillers or murder mysteries can't begin to compare to this sort of intrigue. I hope this is all written down somewhere safe in case, Heaven forbid something untoward happens to RPK, the rakyat can find out the truth. Please be careful, RPK. In Malaysia, no one is safe.

RPK. one thing is certain. Najib and Rosmah uses their influence and money to buy the people whose help they need most! Saiful,Syed Rahman, Bala and even some HINDRAF traitors who prayed in Seberang Jaya! The time to pay for their sins is not too far off. The extent of crimes committed by Najib and gang recently is to prevent them fom getting implicated, hence stopping Anwar at all cost! The fear of Anwar becoming PM and cutting off their line of influence is very real now!

RPK has his own way of doing things, why should he reveal everything here at once and risk the evidence being confiscated by the corrupt police (hey, they can just enter his house and confiscate anything like what happened 2 days earlier and many more times before). So, if you do not know anything, shut up your f@#king mouth......

Aiyah, you still dont get it. The proof is already there. Firstly,Why haven't those implicated brought charges against RPK? They dare not, as RPK is just waiting to reveal the evidence in court. Secondly, you want the police to raid RPK's house again to search for these evidences? Under the present system, there is not just law. Only law is knowing how to think ahead and outwit the police and aca.

Maybe he was told that RPK would be behind bars to hurt him.

o.k so they have not pressed charges, but this is not proof, come on people think use your ****ing brains for once. I want to believe Pete, but it's time we saw some proof. For example we saw the medical report that showed the Malay chap was not buggered, yet he still pressed charges. My point is that pressing charges or not pressing charges is not in itself proof.
Also, Pete can find some other way of showing evidence, for example by giving the report to the foreign media i.e Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The Times etc etc,he does not need to reveal the proof on MT. I don't like the DPM based on what the man has said over the years, but if he is to go it should be based on actual evidence and not on rumours and coffe shop stories. I hope the people condeming me in this forum will have the intelligence to understand that every person should be considered innocent until PROVEN guilty. So let them put us all in prison. If we are to be threatened into silence and fear by ISA each time we choose to speak our mind, we are never actually free anyway.

You may want to get a legal opinion of what exactly is subjudice. This matter is about Rosmah, Alhabshi, finding other body parts, which may not be connected to the trial and subjudice. Cutting close maybe.

An issuance of an SD will not be subjudice as it assists the court in arriving at justice. Provided Zahid and Kamal backs it up.

I would love to see some hard evidence against the DPM, but to date no one has produced a single piece of evidence, no one! No photo has been seen. One witness at the trial says she saw a photo, yet where is it? Why has the hotel/restaurant in France not issued the pic? Surely they have CCTV in hotels that would cater for VIP's yet no security man in France or hotel employee or journalist in France has issued a picture showing DPM with Altantuya WHY? Dear Bitterzone,

RPK's guts in writing these articles against very powerful political animals in Malaysia is evidence and is convincing enough for most of us. RPK did not set up this blog just a month ago (unlike Saiful's fiancee). We have been faithful readers of this blog and many times, we have seen hard evidence beyond our wildest dreams. The staking of RPK's reputation and his credibility, and the repercussions which may befall him on his personal self (and not us, sitting comfortably in our bedrooms surfing the internet), are enough to lend credence to this article. Maybe "Datuk Syed Rahman" lied to RPK, but the fact that there is a person who introduced himself as Datuk Syed Rahman to RPK in Dome, Bangsar Shopping Centre, - to me is an incontrovertible fact.

Super Admin has asked that you provide your residential address. And you have threatended to send them to International Press so that justice for Altantuya can be obtained. I suggest that you send the evidence to the IGP and copy the High Court.

In fact I was dumbfounded when I saw the "Arab" on TV rattling away and condemning DSAI, RPK and Bala. Why the 'ball of lightning' struck all of a sudden? My conclusion was most definitely he has been paid by none other than Najis C4. BN is using every dirty tactic they can think of and they don't mind paying for people to do it.

It's amazing that you simply accept as a "fact" that the DPM was involved in the murder without any real evidence. I have been following MT for some time and I agree that Pete has pulled out evidence from time to time, but on the Altantuya crime I have not seen any evidence linking DPM to the victim. I admire RPK he is indeed a brave man, but I believe I have the right to ask to see the evidence, indeed if there is evidence then let the world see it so that this poor woman can finally get the justice she deserves.

bitterzone,

You contradicted your own statements saying that "I want to believe Pete, but it's time we saw some proof. For example we saw the medical report that showed the Malay chap was not buggered, yet he still pressed charges. My point is that pressing charges or not pressing charges is not in itself proof". Mark my words, the medical report will later be deemed inadmissible as evidence in court and they will instead rely on doctored (pun not intended) medical report by govt doctors. And the poor doctor, like PI Bala, had been made to vanish by the same people who will get to any length to destroy any evidence that you selfishly requested RPK to publish here. Sheesh.....

And for someone who do not have balls to even use your real name, or to furnish your home address, it is ironic that you claimed that you are seeking justice for Altantuya.

Marson,

Pls don't try to intimidate me. What is wrong with asking to see the evidence? If someone accussed you of a crime, surely you would ask to see the evidence, right? Even Anwar asked to see the evidence contained in the police report. I agree it took too long, but he got it eventually. If we want justice in Malaysia, then it should be justice for everyone, not just the people we like such as RPK but especially the people we do not like such as the DPM. The law exists for everyone and everyone is entitled to a free and fair trial. If RPK has the evidence let it be published, even annoymously in the internaional media so the Malaysian police will be forced to investigate it and no additional pressure can be put on RPK and his family.

He may be able to migrate to mongolia, but can he take his whole family and loved ones along with him? do you think they would want to leave.

As you are aware RPK is being sued by Najib and Rosmah? Do you honestly believe that RPK will reveal information that he has in his possession! Lets presume that he does not have..do you believe that he will have the courage to take these "giants"? Havent you noticed the level of surpressing of witnesses and evidences taking place in Malaysian politics? Havent you realised the arms of judiciary. police and the BN are closely intertwined in surpressing all incriminating evidences against them! Havent you realised that they have the power and money to destroy and buy over anything and everything that they please. Havent you realised their ability to frame new charges on individuals who dare to expose them? Bitterzone, whatever is your political affiliation, I am not interested, but I respect you have the ability to distinguish and separate the right and the wrong!

You are obviously a young man full of passion for justice and it is indeed a virtue. The fact that RPK signed a SD regarding Rosmah (not Najib mind you) was involved is good enough for many of us. His lastest revelation is now starting to make sense (to this scribe at least). You know the state of politics in Malaysia and a good chees player does not show all their moves at once. The fact that Rosmah would drop all legal avenues to nail RPK would already give you an indication that there might be something that is in RPK 's possession that could bring her downfall. Instead, it is the Government that is charging RPK and not a personal suit brought up by her. Ask the simple question - Why? I know that she has given a lame excuse that she could not be bothered. An old adage, "If there is no fire, there won't be any smoke".

As I have stated before, I will state again:

"Reputation is what you are in the light, character is what you are in the dark". Unfortunately, unlike RPK, these people lack both.

It was not natural. When we are not telling the truth, the body will behave the same, it follows the mind, yet for ordinary people the body will always show the truth. This is an exceptional for some professionals which they show little or no difference in the body posture and movement.

It may not be a contradiction but almaighty God, it certainly is perplexing. Pete has not explicitly stated that you cannot give the evidence to the foreign press, but what is the point here? Why would Pete want you, of all people to give this evidence to the foreign press? He can happily do it himself. What are trying to be, a courier boy like Saifool? Do you realise that if this evidence is indeed forwarded to you, your life could be in jeopardy? The best part about MT is that you are asked to think and ponder. Not swallow like a fish, just like how BN have trained the rakyat to do for 50 years.

As I said I have no problem sending my address if I can send the evidence on to the international press (not exactly what a coward would do is it?). I feel sorry for you that you lack the capacity to think for yourselves, it is the most fundamental problem with the rakyat at this time. The intellectual elite have left Malaysia and only a few bright people remain, mostly because they have no choice but to stay due to family etc. The remainder are mostly people too stupid like you two who lack the education to find a suitable position outside the country. There is room in the country for all opinions as long as there is respect for them. All you two did is try to bully me to prevent my speaking up, just like the idiots who broke up the recent bar council meeting. You represent everything that is wrong with Malaysia, stupidty, the belief that people can be intimidated and the beliefs that your own beliefs should never be challenged. Nero,

Good points, allow me reply.

1. MT often publishes articles from Guardian, The Wall Street Journal an other foreign newspaper report about Malaysian politics. Let me tell you that if there was evidence some French journalist would have published the picture. It's what journalists in the west do. Think of Princess Diana, they even published pictures of her dying, don't you think they would publish pictures of the DPM of Malaysia with a girl he is alleged to have murdered? That would be some story. Any journalist would give gold to publish proof, my question is, why has no foreign journalist published any proof although many have written about the case?

2. To answer your second point abt my life being in danger, I will tell you what my grandfather once told me and it's the reason I am prepared to risk it in this case. My grandfather told me when I was a small child: "When they came for the Jews I did nothing because I was not a Jew". When they came for the Muslims I did nothing because I was not a Muslim". When they came for the Catholics I did nothing because I was not a Catholic". WHEN THEY CAME FOR ME, THERE WAS NO ONE LEFT TO DO ANYTHING". I hope now you can understand why I am willing to take a risk, because like RPK, Anwar, ordinary people have to take a stand. As Wiston Churchill once said "all that is necessary for evil to win, is that good men do nothing". I am not willing to do nothing and neither should anyone who cares about this country. The fight for justice, is a fight we must all share.
