Final push to oust Najib to be launched next month
In July 2015, they did the same thing. So, basically, this is the same script from three years ago. In July 2015, they also drafted a charge sheet against Najib, which they were supposed to show Najib during the 29th July 2015 Cabinet Meeting. Najib would then be offered two options. Resign and allow Muhyiddin Yassin to take over as Prime Minister or get arrested and go to jail.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Four meetings were held overseas over the Christmas-New Year period — one of those meetings in London and another in Hong Kong — to specifically discuss the final push to oust Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak. These meetings included Pakatan Harapan Chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali, and various people in strategic positions in the government who can make the final push to oust Najib possible.
According to the plan, Najib is expected to have an audience with DYMM Yang di-Pertuan Agong around the end of this month — maybe on the 26th or 27th of March 2018 — to seek His Majesty’s consent to dissolve Parliament to make way for Malaysia’s 14th General Election.
Pakatan Harapan has to defeat Najib before GE14 and not during GE14
According to Mahathir, once Parliament is dissolved, Najib would be reduced to a caretaker Prime Minister heading a caretaker government (while Parliament would no longer exist). Mahathir believes that this means Najib’s power would essentially be reduced and heads of agencies such as PDRM, MACC, AGC, and so on, can ignore any instruction from the PMO and can wait until the new government is formed and the new Prime Minister is sworn in after GE14 before acting.
This, of course, would be if these heads of the various government agencies will agree to play ball and ignore any and all instructions from PMO until the new government is formed and the new Prime Minister is sworn in. The ‘danger’ here, argued Mahathir, is that since Merdeka the concept of caretaker Prime Minister and caretaker government has never been practiced and the Prime Minister and his Cabinet have always acted on the basis of ‘business as usual’ right up to Polling Day and the ‘Morning After’.
Mahathir said this is one regret he has. If he had introduced the concept of caretaker Prime Minister and caretaker government when he was Prime Minister, then today, once Parliament is dissolved, the Prime Minister would be powerless and they can launch their coup d’état and oust Najib before Polling Day.
Because of PAS, Pakatan Harapan cannot win GE14 so Najib must be ousted before the general election
The plan is simple. Once Najib announces the dissolution of Parliament, Mahathir would spring into action and force the AGC to draw up two charge sheets against Najib. One charge sheet would involve the SRC RM42 million matter and the second charge sheet will be a backup in case the first one gets ‘stuck’ for any reason.
The AG would be told he has no choice but to play ball, and if he refuses, and if Pakatan Harapan wins the general election and gets to form the new government, then they are going to get him on criminal charges, which can be easily conjured even if they need to fabricate the charges.
They will also get Sarawak Report to publish a story regarding this matter so that the AGC cannot ‘bury’ the case. Once the story is already out in the public domain, together with copies of the charge sheets, and the whole thing has gone viral, the matter can no longer be contained.
Sarawak Report will be running the story about the charge sheet like it did in July 2015 to make sure that the AGC cannot bury the matter
However, before they could spring into action on 29th July 2015, Najib moved first and neutralised the key players, the ‘Six Tan Sri’ — Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin included who was replaced with Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Hence ended the 29th July 2015 coup d’état. (Press coverage of the 29th July 2015 coup d’état attempt can be read below).
The only difference between the 29th July 2015 coup d’état and the second one planned for next month is that in July 2015 Najib still has executive powers while next month Najib would be only a caretaker Prime Minister with no executive powers. So, technically, Najib will not be able to remove or sack all the conspirators like he did on the eve of 29th July 2015. This is why Mahathir believes this time the coup d’état will succeed. Najib will not be able to launch a pre-emptive strike like he did on the eve of 29th July 2015.
Since Sarawak Report has been blocked from access in Malaysia, The Malaysian Insight will make sure that Sarawak Report‘s story goes viral
Mahathir is now lining up all his ducks in a row. He needs to make sure that everyone is on board and that there will be no back-downs like in July 2015. This final coup d’état will need everyone to be on the same page. Even just one straggler and the coup d’état is going to fail, just like in July 2015.
Mahathir’s weapon is threats and bribery, his usual carrot and stick strategy. If they cannot be bought then he will reveal what he has on them and promise to use this evidence to finish them off. Everyone would have some sort of skeletons in their closet and if there are none, or none strong enough, Mahathir can always fabricate something that would be strong enough to stick.
Mahathir feels his ducks are now all perfectly lined up in a row. All he needs now is the right timing. And that right timing would be next month as soon as Parliament is dissolved. Bringing down Najib through the general election would be impossible because Barisan Nasional is going to win the general election. Hence it has to be done before the general election through a coup d’état, which means the charge sheets are very crucial to the plan.
Once DYMM Yang di-Pertuan Agong consents to the dissolution of Parliament, the coup d’état will be launched
Mahathir has learned from his July 2015 mistake and he will not be making those same mistakes twice. The July 2015 mistake was that the plot was exposed before it could be launched and Najib managed to pre-empt the coup d’état. This time Mahathir feels the secret of the coup d’état plot is well-guarded and Najib will not find out about it until it is too late — that is, of course, until Malaysia Today exposed it today. And once it is launched Najib will be caught with his pants down and will no longer have the executive power to sack the conspirators like he did in July 2015.

AG: False charge sheet indicates plot to topple PM
Attorney-General Mohamed Apandi Ali has dismissed the purported draft of a charge sheet against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak published on whistleblower website Sarawak Report as false.
He also said the charge papers point in the direction of a plot to topple the prime minister and warned of stern action against the perpetrators. “These alleged charge papers therefore indicate there is a conspiracy to topple a serving prime minister by criminalising him, and that the methods include doctoring (documents) and criminal leakage.”
