Zaid Ibrahim

Ayatollah Khomeini was a curse on the Iranian people and the world. He caused so much division and hatred within Iran and outside. He was above the law as his words were ' Ayat Allah' . He promoted international terrorism with his famous 'Death Fatwa' against Salman Rushdie over 'Satanic Verses' . There was no respect for natural justice. Religious minorities were persecuted and murdered. There was no democracy because the country was ruled by a group of unelected clerics and he was their ' Supreme Leader'. Oppositionists were tortured and murdered in their thousands.

Iran was a client state of the US and its role there was economically exploitative. However, in the same way Zimbabweans thought the end of White rule would bring dignity, economic benefits and democracy to the people, it turned out to be a cruel hoax.

Ayatollah banned contraception and this had a terrible impact on population growth and incidence of rural poverty and unemployment. The Iranian revolution was a terrible curse on the Persian people, who have a great history which pre dates Shia Islam for thousands of years.

Fortunately the people, mainly the younger generation are rejecting the cruel legacy of the Evil Imam Khomeini but we still see Khomeini's spirit in the form Ahmadinejad's rule, with murder and torture of oppositionists, young and old, his desire to 'wipe out Israel from the face of the earth' etc.

For Zaid to equate the evil Shia monster Khomeini with Ghandhi and Mandela is a terrible insult to their legacy. It is either due to Zaid's ignorance at best or at worst he genuine veneration of this evil Shia leader. Either way he has shown his unsuitability to lead Pakatan.

I feel like a fool for having so much hope in Zaid.

The main and first objective is to throw beEND out in GE 13. Gaining more seats is not good enough if PR does no have enough MPs to form the next government.. So, PR needs somebody who is widely accepted by the rakyat.

Win first. At this stage, forget about who should be the PM then. It is secondary.

I fully support Tok Guru Nik Aziz become PR leader. And i believe majority of rakyat (muslim or non muslim) are respect Tok Guru. He deserve to be Malaysian leader.

Wish that PR can have a clear decision and clear picture on what's they should do for the next step.
Are PR ready to become a new goverment by next GE?

I fully agree. Whoever the leader who take this position must also be a respected and objective leader for a coalition made up of many parties and ideology to agree on the same thing. As I have mentioned earlier and now again, Anwar has not been seen as a leader since ochestrating the Mar8 GE and the idea he gives me now is that he is too bog down with civil suit, sodomy etc. I feel he is clueless as to what to do with Najib coming so strong and he now have to ride on RPK's blog write up on Bala's SD to gain momentum again. This is especiallhy sad after all our support and gathering at various locations to gain momentum and support, he has been so quiet . I think the only one is consistent is RPK and I say that with great respect and admiration for his bravery. So I hope and wish to reiterate that if Anwar is too preoccupied he should support the idea of a new leadership and not cling on and bring down the ship of PR.
