By Lee Wei Lian, The Malaysian Insider

One moment Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun was laughing and cracking jokes and the next she was in shock after hearing that she had been removed as an appointee to the presidential council by MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat.

The announcement seemed to come out of the blue as the initial mood during the central committee meeting yesterday had been fairly light and marked by cheerful table banging by the members prompted by the indication given by Ong and rivals Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek and Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai that they would try to resolve their issues.

The first sign that Ong was planning something was when he was seen suddenly furiously scribbling on his notepad. Then came the bombshell —- eight appointed presidential council members, all of whom are backing fresh party polls and seen as part of the Liow faction — that some of the members would be dropped and replaced by friendly parties.

The dropped eight comprised nearly half the council and included among them five deputy ministers — Deputy Higher Education Minister Dr Hou Kok Chung, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wira Chor Chee Heung, Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong, Deputy Women's Minister Chew and Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Wee Jeck Seng. This is a significant move as the presidential council is seen as a platform for the MCA leaders to prepare for Cabinet meetings.

That Ong has the right to do this, there is no doubt — he has wide discretionary powers under the party constitution to make appointments to the council as he sees fit.

Liow, however, likened it to a declaration of war and accused the president of being "corrupted" by "absolute power".

Actually they resemble three packs of mad dogs fighting one another just like we watch from time to time in the streets. Each of the packs are headed by their respective leaders, namely, Ticket, Porno Actor & Boh Liow.
The masters are the AMENO scumbags trying to stop the fight with sticks & flames of fire.
The best thing to do as with the street dogs is to allow them to finish off one another.
Peace & sanity will prevail after they kill the dogs expend one another.

Congratualation to Wee and Chew, both of you are only 'Baby Sitter' of MCA Youth and Wanita, its not your turn to be the Father and Mother of MCA, now both of your work permit had been terminated by the employer, you are free to organise your Trade Fair on 1128, hopefully the No will be the top prize at the forecast centre, I think I will punch it at Magnum on that day! Remember, I need both of you to pray on 1128, I already invested quite a substancial amount during these few draws, and I am waiting to see it realise!

MCA still relevant?

Liow = Awhile support OTK but when it comes to Deputy post.... a wind of change!!!
Chew, Wee and others = Any difference?

ALL = Fight for democracy??? Have you fight for the real democracy for the whole country? If not, why talk about your party democracy! Who cares?

MCA,

We Chinese are telling you, we are NOT disappointed with you.. cause to us, you don't seem much relevant anymore.

To: Lee Wei Kiat,

You always seems to talk a lot. So where are you now?

Of course when there's a death some folks cry even the hypocrites do cry.
OTG just setting the grave in orderly fashion after all he's afraid to go in first, he thinks there is life after the last EGM- let the dead bury the dead.
The real undertaker (PM) announce that he'd be stepping in, don't be surprise if he use C4 to settle the "MCA" dead.
Go ahead and Cry - I know some have yet to pay-off the triads.

It is a disgrace for Chew and Wee to cry over OKT decision. They only demonstrate their weak leadersip qualities. If the cry at the unfortunate death of Teoh Beng Hock that is wisdom of compassion and no one will question their action. Hell broke loose when MCA cannot be bothered of the TBH MURDER. So what is MCA trying to promote GUP. MCA must publish their report card what they have represented well in the welfare of the Chinese . Then with this the GUP will come out shining. Stop pulling wool over the smart Chinese eyes. I am proud of the Chinese progressive race here and internationally but I am disgraced of the MCA

Serves you right, Chew. And you shall sink with Wee and Liow. You were defeated in the elections and yet you were given a post. You should have kept quiet instead of being greedy. smilies/grin.gifsmilies/grin.gifsmilies/grin.gif
