Once a cop, always a cop. And Datuk Ramli Yusuff (picture), who was acquitted of not disclosing his assets last week, intends to report for duty at Bukit Aman although he reached retirement age of 58 on March 1.

In the event he is told to retire, Ramli wants his pension, gratuity and all retirement benefits befitting his rank of Police Commissioner.

“I hope to meet the Home Minister before reporting in, to see what advice he gives me,” the Former Commercial Crimes Investigation Department Director told The Malaysian Insider last night after holding a doa selamat or thanksgiving prayers at his Petaling Jaya home.

Ramli explained that he was informed he would be suspended until his case was over after he was charged on Nov 2, 2007 for not disclosing information about his assets.

“So I am still a police officer and I have to report. It is up to government to decide if I should continue (on contract) or retire.

“I want a proper send off, because I know I was fixed,” Ramli said, citing legal constraints when declining to elaborate on his case.

He pointed out that the judgment for his case was supposed to have been delivered on Feb 24 but was somehow delayed till last Friday.

“Had I been acquitted on Feb 24, I would have reported in the very next day.”

The veteran police officer was charged with failing to declare ownership of 20,000 Telekom Malaysia Berhad shares, 154,000 Permaju Industries Berhad shares and interest in two office properties worth RM1,032,840.

He was also charged separately in the Kota Kinabalu Sessions court for allegedly using police aircraft to view two pieces of property in which he was alleged to have had an interest in.

That case also ended in an acquittal for Ramli last July 27 after Sessions Court Judge Supang Lian ruled that, “The prosecution failed to prove a prima facie case and the accused deserves to be acquitted and discharged.’’

The prosecution is appealing both cases.

Datuk Ramli
We salute you. You still have the courtesy to call on hisapmuddin after what the govt and its agencies have done to you.

In the event you decide to make similar call to Police Inspector General musang, do take someone to accompany you. Also ensure a paramedic and an ambulance are around on standby just in case he collapses the moment he sees you. We do not want you be charged for something you do not do.

Ready to serve?? Please be realistic here Mr. Ramli, your chances are as good as none, so long BN and especially UMNO is in power! You should know the number of crooks are beyond count there and you think they'll re-instate you to cause them trouble by putting them behind bars one after another??, unless of course you become one of them!! Let's hope you have strong will power and uphold justice!!We are keeping our fingers crossed! smilies/cool.gifsmilies/cool.gifsmilies/cool.gifsmilies/cool.gifsmilies/cool.gif

If....big IF, Ramli Yusuff , you get to be re-instated.

First job of the day is to file a police report on IGP Musa Hassan's close relations with the illegal gangster underworld.

Then arrest Musa and throw him in the worse police cell that can be found - Bukit Aman !

Glad justice prevailed ,you were found innocent and acquitted. Malaysians are happy for you. Hopefully you get back your job and become the next IGP; and if you do ever become the next IGP ,always remember to kick the rear ends of your subordinates if they ever frame up their victims. Do not let the innocent go through nightmare and hell that you had experienced. One another thing, when politicians are involved ,remember again, today you may blindly go along with them to trample on the laws which you are suppose to uphold without favour or fear. The same can be used against you when you fall out of favour. . They did it ,didn't they ? Finally ,again, always remember how dirty politicians can become to hold onto power :they take cover for their crimes by distraction. The distractions or dirty tricks are as old as religion. They create the bogeymen ,first ,through religion fervor issues;if that fails ,race becomes handy.Fear mongering is spewed by MSM under cover of "ketuanan",as though it is a passport to crime

The future is bleak for Ramli as the appeals would eventually end up at the Court of Appeal. Read JAUNDICED JUSTICE in http://cruzinthots.b******t.co...lleh.html.

If at any chance you are reinstated, take it upon yourself to investigate the murder of Altantuya and hopefully with the case solved, you will be recommended to helm the top post of the PDRM and earned the respect and admiration of the rakyat and the men/women in blue.

"I hope they let me live in peace to do it,” - looks like the uMNOputras have no intention of doing so.
By appealing the two cases and knowing that the judiciary can essentially be considered a division of the UMNOputras, they are hoping one of their kind, the type that has sold its soul to devil, shall rule against Ramli.

Aye, aye Sir, the rakyat is rooting for you. Everyone knows you have been FIXED. We all know if there was an iota of truth, you would have been well and truly nailed. Evil corrupts do like company and if you are not 'one of them', oooh you are a marked and dead man. However, as you are clean, they had no choice but to acquit you. God bless you and let's hope the PM who says he listens to the rakyat, will appoint you to your rightful post - The Honourable Inspector of Police unlike the P.I.G. thug we currently have!

Musa is proven liar and a perjurer. The judge after hearing him for a short while had not problems coming to that conclusion. He can never testify on any matter in court without his credit being impeached. How can he remain IGP? My question to Datuk Ramli: how is it for 6 years you could see the evil in this man who served under you? You should have trampled him like one would trample a cockroach!
