(Bernama) - Tomorrow’s weekly Cabinet meeting will decide whether Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should be referred to the Parliament’s Rights and Privileges Committee over his claim that the 1 Malaysia concept was copied from the 1 Israel idea.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz said today he would bring up the matter at the Cabinet meeting.
“We feel that the accusation is too extreme. I have no power to decide whether action should to be taken or not,” he told a news conference at his office at Parliament House, here.
Anwar had claimed that international communications consultancy Apco Worldwide engaged by the Malaysian government was involved in Ehud Barak’s 1 Israel campaign during a Parliamentary debate yesterday.
The company issued a statement today to deny the allegation by Anwar.
“This is a serious allegation. We will have to decide whether action should be taken against Anwar for making a false statement in the House,” Nazri said
Nazri said that though the allegation was serious, he had to bring the matter to the Cabinet first, and the decision will be conveyed to the Rights and Privileges Committee for action.
Asked why the matter had to be referred to the committee, and if there was any other way to handle it, Nazri said: “As you know, the accusation has been made against the leader of the House (the prime minister). “Of course, the accusation against the prime minister will involve the Executive. So, the committee has to decide,” he said.

Well, I hope Anwar has some facts to substantiate his claims.
APCO has come out with a public statement denying links with 1Isreal and Jewish leaders.
So, anwar the onus is on u to prove your allegations!!

On the contrary. . ., the onus is on the BN regime to explain why US24 million of our tax-money was paid to APCO? What did APCO do that contribute any signaficant benefit to Malaysia?
If you are an "educationist" please do some research what APCO had been doing in the past? Look at the background facts of the dictators around the globe that had engaged APCO's services! Find out who their board of Directors? After you have done so, than come back to MT to give your comments!
