KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 29 — In a bid to end N. Gobalakrishnan’s attacks against PKR vice-president N. Surendran, the latter’s division chief has confirmed his membership.
Lembah Pantai PKR chief Nurul Izzah Anwar today texted Surendran’s details.
“No. Anggota: W080004265 Nama: N. Surendran Cabang: Lembah Pantai,” Nurul Izzah, who is also Lembah Pantai MP, told The Malaysian Insider. She is currently overseas.
The past week Gobalakrishnan has upped the vitriol on Surendran, the party leadership and even Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He ignored pleas for a ceasefire, choosing instead to challenge Surendran to prove his membership.
Nurul Izzah's input to support her fellow PKR vice-president will enhance Surendran's legitimacy in the feud.
Gobalakrishnan has also sarcastically suggested that Anwar could likely manipulate the party’s electoral roll.
“I know there are means to slot his name or any name in the voters list if Anwar wishes to do so,” he said yesterday.
The Padang Serai MP claimed that Surendran had never voted in any PKR division or attended any divisional meetings during the party elections last month.
PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution told The Malaysian Insider today that action had to be taken against Gobalakrishnan, saying that a decision will be reached during the party’s political bureau meeting on January 7.
“There has been a lot of unhappiness among party members..As a senior leader from the reformasi days, to come out with statements like this, you are frustrating party members and not helping the party.
“Why must you keep on harping the membership issue? It is not an issue,” said Saifuddin.
Gobalakrishnan’s statements have been in clear contradiction of his party leadership’s stand on the matter.
Yesterday, PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution confirmed with The Malaysian Insider that Surendran was a registered member with the PKR Lembah Pantai division.

Nurul, be ahamed of yourself. You have conveniently forgotten what had happened to you in the party election. At first you were eligible to contest as the deputy president but later they said you were not eligible. When you made noise they suddenly decided to permit you.
Just look at the case of Jenapala.
Look at Libaran. Only 100 voting slips were issued but Azmin Ali won by 900 votes. Look at Sandakan. Look at Tawau.
Look at Christina Liew. There was no way for her to win but surprisingly she was voted in. Votes from the sky made her win.
Gobala, don't be afraid. Just proceed to whack the party leadership. The majority PKR members have brilliant brains to think.
I don't believe a party that condones fraud, manipulation and cheating like PKR.

It just prove that he is having an ulterior motive to bring the party down and there must be someone behind him urging him on!!!
