(Bernama) - KUCHING: The Election Commission (EC) has decided not to give accreditation to Mafrel (Malaysians for Free and Fair Elections) to be an independent observer in the Sarawak state election, polling of which is on April 16.

EC secretary Datuk Kamaruddin Mohamed Baria said this was because Mafrel had failed to fully comply to EC's requirements.

"Among them is for Mafrel and its affiliates to be non-partisan in their work," he said in a statement.

He said it was EC's aim to work together with independent election observers which had credibility, integrity and able to control the affiliates.

Kamaruddin said the EC made the decision at a special meeting on Thursday after studying in detail Mafrel's application to be an independent observer of the Sarawak election.

Mafrel was set up in Oct 2003 to monitor elections in the country. - Bernama

The forked-tongued EC.

By the way, this is serious. By the way yhis is serious. Tonight at Astro Awani, Channel 501. At the bottom of the screen, the repetitive news text crawler displayed, "Polis akui video seks pemimpin pembangkang tulen". This will go on throughout the night. How can they already say "pemimpin pembangkang" without first establishing anything yet. PR machinery should watch now or get recording of the said text on tv. Take action against police for defamation.

Datuk Kamaruddin Mohammed Barua is a real "barua" for the corrupt and thieving Taib Mahmud. Taib Mahmud had agreed to reward him handsomely if he won the election again.

So what can you expect? Of course EC is not going to allow Mafrel to be in Sarawak. . ., it will only screw up the EC plan to rig the election and to put back the corrupt old man to power! And no, no no. . ., that "barua" will not allow anyone to take that reward already waiting away from him!

EC is afraid that Manfrel may expose any wrongs or irregularity if allow to closely observe the election. What good reason is there for someone to refuse help to observed the election, if not to prevent any cheating from being exposed?
Even the crime statistics on woman are now off limit to the public. What will they do next? Vote them out before its too late.
