I believe Al-Jazeera (KL based), BBC and Channel news asia (Both singapore based) will have their ground crew in KL.
They probably have booked hotel malaya or furama hotel weeks in advance to escape a clampdown. very meticulous these people.

Truly disappointed with the silence of Al-Jazeera, seeing as they were the most vocal in 2007 for foreign news portal covering Bersih.

It seems that the government and them have also come to 'understandings'

If this is still the case come tomorrow, i will unsubscribe from their YT channel and get my family to do so as well. They do not deserve to be called independent any more.

Truly disappointing.

you notice some odd things? how come the city's deputy cpo, a sikh sac, is announcing the shut down of KL, not the cpo? how come umno youth's deputy was on tv paying obeisance to the Agong and calling off their rally, not the chief himself? how come the deputy igp on tv looks definitely bored and boh-chap when his igp is struggling to push thro the police points? how come the DPM is so nonchalant on tv about the rally, and unlike hisham quoting logic on illegality and law, smilingly offers "i think we will leave it to the police to handle it...". how come the govt cabinet and politicians are leaving it to the police to handle this - when we the taxpayers are paying them salaries and inflated allowances of all sorts? so what happens when the police mis-handles the situation? call in the troops guns ablazing? then what happens?
emergency rule. no elections. so no need for bersih. that's the cretin logic?

Thank you very much Najib, UMNO and APCO for putting Bersih on the world news. This is a fantastic feat. The world now believe that Malaysia falls under the same third world countries like Zimbabwe and also Burma with corrupted and ruthless regime who cheat their people to win elections and remain in power.

Now that the world is watching us, the police will not dare to touch any of the Bersih marchers tomorrow to avoid unnecessary complications from the major powers. So Malaysians, let us march freely.

Dear Merdeka and Arazak

I have checked the Aljazeera site a[url=t http://english.aljazeera.net/S...q=malaysia and the most recent report they carried about Malaysia was on June 4th on the branding of women.

I have yet to see any report from Singaporean or Australian online news portals on Bersih. Please let us know if anyone comes across any report elsewhere so that we can update this post.

Terima kasih.
