(NST) - Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today asked the people of PAS-led Kelantan to give Barisan Nasional (BN) the mandate in the next general election, and pledged to solve all the problems they faced under the PAS administration.
The prime minister said a BN government would be able to solve the problems associated with clean water supply, people's estates, infrastructure facilities and housing.
"The Barisan Nasional government, if given the mandate, pledges to solve the state's woes related to clean water supply, people's estates, infrastructure facilities and housing," he said, inviting applause from about 20,000 people at a gathering at the Jeli campus of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, here.
Najib, who was on a day-long visit to Kelantan, urged the people to support the "Red Wave" movement to enable the BN to recapture the state.
He said a BN government would transform the landscape of the state through various forms of development and make Kelantan progressive.
