Do you know how low I felt, the nephew of Malaysia’s Agong having to join the ranks of the illegal Indonesian immigrants selling food on the streets of Sungai Buloh? I felt, in the interest of justice, I should have at least been given two months notice, not sacked on the spot just three days after the general election.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Yes, padan muka (serves you right)! I am talking about the two items below.

Let’s talk about the Human Rights Party (Hindraf) piece first (below).

They lament that for 40 years the Indians have been sidelined. That means since 1970 or so.

Why lament? I have been telling the Indians the same thing for 35 years or so since I first became politically active in the 1970s. I remember, when I told the Indians this, they refused to listen. So now, padan muka! You made your bed, now lie in it. And I hope you suffer more before it gets better. There is no better lesson than suffering.

When I said that MIC cannot and will not look after the Indian interest, the Indians replied that they regard Samy Vellu as a God. They revered Samy Vellu even as the MIC President was selling out the Indians.

Do you know how much Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad gave to MIC? But NONE went to the Indians. It all went into the pockets of the MIC leaders. Go ask Dr Mahathir if you want the full details. And while the MIC leaders plundered whatever Dr Mahathir gave the Indians, the Indians sembah Samy Vellu like he was God.

I once asked (back in the 1980s) a senior Umno leader: why do the Indians still keep Samy Vellu as their leader when he is not helping the Indians? And this Umno leader replied that it is not the Indians but Umno who was keeping Samy Vellu as the MIC leader. This is because Samy Vellu works for Umno, I was told.

Also, back in the 1980s, I had a meeting with Samy Vellu (I was then a central committee member of the Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry) to discuss some issues concerning the Malay contractors (they were being bankrupted by the 1980s world recession).

And do you know what Samy Vellu told me? He said: I am already doing so much for the Malays. I am a leader for the Malays, not for the Indians. Samy Vellu held up his right arm and said: Malay blood runs through my veins. Without Malay votes I will never become a Minister. So I will do everything within my power to help the Malays, he concluded.

But when I revealed this to the Indians they still sembah Samy Vellu and call him God.

I asked the Indians: why does Samy Vellu not negotiate with the government to start a FELDA scheme for the Indians, in particular the displaced and retrenched Indian estate workers? FELDA settlers are getting rich, I told them. They earn more than even university graduates. They are buying RM30,000 motorbikes (and that was back in the 1980s and 1990s mind you).

We have FELDA settlements for retired army and police personnel. Why not also one for the Indians? But no, Samy Vellu is God, even though all he needed to do was move his fat arse and it would have been a fait accompli -- but he did not do so.

I personally asked Dr Mahathir why he gave all those shares, etc., to MIC and not directly to the Indians -- like, say, start an ASI (Amanah Saham India)? Dr Mahathir replied that 90% of the Indians vote for MIC. So this means the Indians support MIC and regard it as their legitimate ‘wakil’.

So there you have it. 90% of the Indians vote for MIC. So MIC receives all the government aid on behalf of the Indians. But it never went to the Indians -- while they sembah Samy Vellu and call him God.

Yes, I know, Raja Petra Kamarudin is a racist who whacks the Indians. Sudahlah! Podah! For 35 years I have been telling you this. And for 35 years you refused to listen. Now suffer. I am enjoying this ‘I told you so!’. It’s the best birthday present I ever had -- the pleasure I get from telling you ‘I told you so’ after 35 years of failing to wake you Indians from your sleep.

Now, on the second piece (below).

Pakatan Rakyat is grumbling that the mainstream media (MSM) is lying and distorting what they say. Again, padam muka! Soon after the 1999 general election -- together with Zunar, the late Rustam Sani, Zul Sulong and a few others -- we launched the ‘Boikot TV3, Utusan and NST’ campaign.

The opposition coalition of PKN (now PKR), DAP, PAS and PRM -- called Barisan Alternatif -- shot it down. They disagreed. They said we must practice freedom of the media. So no ‘Boikot TV3, Utusan and NST’ campaign.

We said that freedom of the media is fine, but not freedom to lie and distort. Eventually, we had to launch it as a ‘private initiative’ outside the party. The four opposition parties would not support the campaign. I was pissed big-time.

During one press conference in the run-up to the 1999 general election, I chased TV3 out of the office and threatened them with violence if they ever tried to gatecrash again. The opposition leaders were very angry about this incident (which was reported on TV3 that same night). And, three days after the general election, I was sacked from my post of media coordinator.

For many months my wife, Marina, had to fry curry puffs, which I went round Sungai Buloh to sell house-to-house. It was with tears in my eyes that I had to endure a life of hawking to be able to put food on the table -- all because I was a loose cannon whom the party can’t seem to control.

Later, during the PKR party convention in Kelana Jaya, my wife put up a notice banning the MSM from entering the hall. She also placed bouncers at the entrance with a mandate to beat up anyone who tries to force their way in.

When the PKR Deputy President found out, he scolded us and told us to remove the sign. He instructed us to allow the MSM into the hall. My wife was fuming mad.

Yes, it has always been an uphill battle to fight back against the lying MSM. And the obstacle has always been the opposition itself. Then, when I gave an interview with TV3 in February this year (like how I have taught to do so by the opposition since 1999), I get whacked to kingdom come and get called all sorts of things.

I am happy that the opposition is now facing a problem with this Hudud issue that has been spun and distorted by the MSM. This is another lovely birthday present: the pleasure to say, “I told you so!”

A.S.N. launched 40 years ago with World Bank funds but lost opportunities for Indian poor. Only rich & poor Malay/Muslims benefitted.

With the RM 200 million pumped in to Amanah Saham Nasional (PNB) (presumably loan from the World Bank) this money was used not for all 1 Malaysian poor but for only the Malay-Muslims the rich and the poor.

With this money loans were given to the Malay-Muslims to buy shares in PNB and the repayments were deducted from the dividends, bonus, etc. So the estimated 17 million Malay-Muslims got for “free” at tens of thousands ringgit each after 40 years.

This was made possible largely by the UMNO government selling prime pieces of land in the KL city and in major towns. Also by the sale of the UMNO government blue chip shares and prime high yielding investments of PNB.

Also this way PNB today after 40 years is worth RM 150 billion (source: PNB website). But only redistributed to the rich and poor Malays under UMNO’s agenda in socially engineering the Indian poor if not to become poorer.

And to the exclusion and segregation of the Indian poor many of whom have become relatively poorer in these 40 years.

But 1Malay-sian Prime Minister Najib Razak says this is the real 1Malaysia.

We never threatened to quit Pakatan Rakyat: DAP

DAP has strongly denied that its secretary general Lim Guan Eng had threatened to quit Pakatan Rakyat's leadership council due to differences over the Hudud law, and said MCA-controlled The Star, which has been dedicating its pages on the Islamic deterrent punishment for serious crimes, had twisted his words.

In a letter today, Lim’s political secretary Zairil Khir Johari stressed that Lim had instead pledge that the party's Central Executive Committee (CEC) would resign en-masse "if anyone can prove that Hudud law would be implemented in the Common Policy Framework (CPF) or Buku Jingga that has been presented to the public.”

Buku Jingga, or the Orange Book, outlines the coalition's common policies in governance as well as reforms it said would be carried out within the first hundreds days of power at the Federal level.

According to Zairil, the paper had initially published a correct report on its online version, but the next day, it said DAP would quit PR, under the heading "DAP leaders threaten to quit Pakatan council".

“This is categorically untrue as Lim had neither made any threats to quit the Pakatan Rakyat leadership council, nor the Pakatan Rakyat in general," he said, and urged the daily to explain the stark contradictions.

Earlier, MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek threatened to pull out from Barisan Nasional if UMNO lent support to any attempt by Kelantan to implement the popular Hudud laws there.

This followed a statement by UMNO deputy president Muhyiddin Yasin saying that as a Muslim, he could not oppose the laws, but would not implement them at present.

Yesterday, PR issued a gag order on leaders across the three parties from issuing any statements on the hudud row, until they meet on September 28.

“We do not want to blame anyone for having issued statements about hudud but it has been blown out of proportion now.

“Hence we decided that until the 28th (Wednesday), there must be no longer any statements issued on this matter from all three parties, whether PAS, PKR or DAP,” said PAS secretary general Mustafa Ali, in a joint statement with his PKR counterpart Saifuddin Nasution and DAP deputy secretary general Anthony Loke.

Dear Pete
I did not complete first para when i got pissed of with the name you mentioned "Samy Vellu". Though he is not in MIC anymore. With the years in politics he has brought private projects to benefit himself with UEM.If not mistaken some road building project awarded by Tamil Nadu Govt.
He amassed whatsoever given to Indians. DRM who knew the crap had not put a stop to it. There is no logic behind the useless justification.
Now he(DRM) laments of his creation not working.Obviously it will never work. Everything was handfed and some were handpacked by UMNO. No worries ,I am seeing them reaping their rewards now.

Indians are fixated in their servant mentality; so long as they are servants, they will even lick their masters' toe-jam no matter how badly treated.! They can never get out of that syndrome of slavery. But woe upon others if they become bosses! Even in a century, they can never have a mind of their own, they will serve whoever will give them the crumbs on a daily basis, never looking further ahead! They still think MIC is their salvation! That is why BN has no fear of losing their votes.

Happy birthday Pete,

May the blessing of light be on you - light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you like a great peat fire,
so that stranger and friend may come and warm himself at it.
And may light shine out of the two eyes of you,
like a candle set in the window of a house,
bidding the wanderer come in out of the storm.
And may the blessing of the rain be on you,
may it beat upon your Spirit and wash it fair and clean,
and leave there a shining pool where the blue of Heaven shines,
and sometimes a star.
And may the blessing of the earth be on you,
soft under your feet as you pass along the roads,
soft under you as you lie out on it, tired at the end of day;
and may it rest easy over you when, at last, you lie out under it.
May it rest so lightly over you that your soul may be out from under it quickly; up and off and on its way to God.
And now may the Lord bless you, and bless you kindly. Amen.

I used to have to tell people, “You know Bangkok?” and the answer would of course be ‘yes’. Everyone knows Bangkok. That is where you go to bang…well, you know what.

Then I ask them, “You know Singapore?” And of course everyone knows Singapore as well. Singapore is a fine city. They fine you for everything, even for chewing gum.

Then I tell them: well, Malaysia is sandwiched in between Bangkok and Singapore. “Ah!” they say. Now they know where Malaysia is.

That really brings back a lot of memories. I too, used the Thailand and Singapore to introduce Malaysia in the mIRC and ICQ era. And guess what's the next question I had been asked before? The asked, "Are you guys still living on trees?" I answered, "Why yes, and we used the tree branches for power and phone lines and therefore we have no need of poles." And they believed.......

As Singapore PM said during its last election, they are no 2 A teams in Singapore to lead the small red dot nation. What he meant you cant find another party that so unscrupulous like PAP to twist and turn.
In Malaysia probably by comparison with it, our team is B-.So, Najib should declare there are no 2 B- teams to govern our nation. We are not good enough to cheat with flying colours like Temasek.

It is about salvation.Refer to Yusuf Estet. For eg, the White Americans. he said no point preaching to them about Islam. Islam is not their salvation. They are already rich(with materials and knowledge). These 2 are their salvation. Similarly in Malaysia, nowadays, based on your reports and articles, more Malaysians dislikes the ruling coalitions. With every single and little thing. Sampai tak masuk akal.National flag pun mau tukar. Silap2 dia punye skin color also want to change, When you drive Ferrari and Audi Q7 and with large mansions and tons of money in the banks(even without holding any real jobs), then it is easy to complaint. For those that have to get up every single morning with creaks in their joints, yes they have no time to think about politics. In their minds, need to make enough money to last the month and able to send kids to school foc and university. When they are sick, they want to have hospitals to able to treat their sickness foc. And yes, when you are at that stage, MIC and Sammy Vellu were the salvations. Not RPK,PKR,PAS,DAP, Anwar etc. At one time in history, some of us taught PKM was our salvation against the British. The history had proved otherwise. Like George Bush Jr. said, too many of us are 'historians' when it comes to politic and economy. The big Q?Is or are Anwar and PR our salvation? Are you RPK our salvation? And why?Note: Obama is not American's salvation despite the 'Change' presidential platform. Similarly with Cameron, Bambang, Ramos Horta, Gusmao, Noor AlMaliki Aquino etc.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RPK

Let the indians rot ..they will never change..the current baby boomers who are well to do wont have anything to do with the down trodden simply because they are not worth it..
all they do is drink , take drugs and fight ..
The indian dailys are political mouth piece for all the rival factions within MIC ..
Datuk G Palanivel "is" a good guy when he was with CAP ...but perhaps he is now more concerned on strenghtening his political clout within MIC ..

Until all remenants of Sami No Value are purged from MIC , the indians will continue to lack behind the others..

My take on this is ..another 30 years before they can reach a developed society stage ..till then smart indians will migrate while the not to smart ines will continue lamenting ..

Of 4 major indian groups here in Malaysian..Tamils originating India n, Sri Lankan Tamils and Malayalees and Sikhs ..the latter 3 are normally well off...why ? ..
my take on this is...they dont care about MIC and take their own path to success

Dear RPK,

My grandfather was among the early founders of MIC, and they treated him like dirt. Despite being kicked out of MIC for opposing the then president (what's new) and for next 25 years, he believed that Samy Vellu would come around and help the Indian community at large. I also saw that my Grandfather with his meager resources do more to help the Indians than any Minister today - only to get whacked by MIC and Samy repeatedly. The Indians don't need financial help, they need opportunities to learn and work towards bettering themselves, without the idiots from MIC telling them what to do. I think its time we just woke up and realised we have to help ourselves.

p.s. Happy Birthday

I have to say(I speak 4 myself) during the last election (with tsunami effect !) Malaysia Today played a MAJOR crucial role (for that matter 100% RPK's CREDIT ) in it's own way.

(Still very clear in my mind, when I went out to get a copy of newspaper even before the vendor had a chance to unload everyone already with $ in hand to give him.......well, am sure the overall result was UNEXPECTED by most...... mayb thanks largely to AB also.)

Now G13 is near, how is it going to be ??? Now, everyone knows is different, and.....???

For one, am not sure is Malaysia Today going to play that 'punching' leading role again?. I think the above write up has prompted me to ask. Better to ask now than later, right ? OR, IS PAY BACK TIME ?

(Well, selling curry puff, sacked unceremoniously/outright,...the HUGE sacrifice espicially on the family part, wife, son faced problems meanwhile ' how is he now' ?) These to highlight how RPK being appreciated, for some plainly how ?example, it will b easy, if he stand for election I support, rally 4him n etc.
Or, is it everyone for himself......untill u make it
(I believe every leader has their OWN STORYLINE to tell and the circumstances there n then. eg. Nelson Mandela .....)

i aint sure about the other pr states but i do hope they have their own publications too (of course pas-led states may rely on their harakah print & online media)
another thing, i totally agree with rpk on the typical comments posted by UMNgOk supporters: they do not debate. they simply mock or type derogatories - no substance!
and yeah, a belated birthday wish to u rpk - may u be blessed with great health, wisdom, wealth and conscience to always do good deeds on God's earth...

all the msm are totally useless by now. maybe 10 years ago i was still reading or even buying the star, mainly for its financial section. now even the star is one hell of a corrupted evil when it comes to spinning or manipulating political issues. i do not buy any msm newspaper anymore for 3-4 years already.
as for television news, i only watch the ntv7's once a while because i do wanna know what the other side is blabbering about, and because ntv7 can be somewhat unbiased in the sense that it does give a little bit of airtime in its bulletin to the opposition leaders.
and i urge those of you who still buy msm newspapers, to stop doing so.
not only by not buying will stop them from corrupting your way of thinking through a prolonged, continuous and systematic propaganda, but it will, to some extent, hurt them where it hurts most: financial sources!

one of the countless clear examples of how they lied: the bersih 2.0 rally reporting...

Pete,

Happy Birthday. You hit all those Indians who put semi-value on a pedestal. It never strikes them no matter what you tell them. I have been telling them that too since 1975 but to no avail. A master from the Dale Carnegie school and his fluency in the Tamil Language put him where he was till he semi-retired.

At one time (i believe he may still be) he was the patron of the Dale Carnegie club in Malaysia. In 1975 when i knew about this I knew he would either be good for the the society or a super duper conman. Well he has conned the Indian society at large.

And he alone (together with his henchman) has destroyed the MIC. I was once told in 1980, by a founder member and late Vice-President told that when he leaves the MIC he would have bankrupted the country. Before he took over in 1979, the MIC was the only BN party that had a HQ building of its own. And he has left the party HQ with no extra new buildings. Like you say PADAN MUKA to those who saw the light but never took the bold step of leaving the party and isolating him.

Dear RPK,

Happy Birthday to u!!!

I'm a fan of Malaysia Today, loved all your articles. Some are painful to hear, but it is needed. You have such a clear view of things sometimes I wonder if Malaysia is ready for it. I am reading the comments below, some are really petty.

I was totally ignorant of the political on goings in Malaysia till I started reading Malaysia Today 2 years ago . It really opened my eyes to the amount of corruption and scandals that is ongoing.
I honestly believe the billions of money we lost to corruptions could have been used to enrich all the communities in Malaysia. We could be living a life of free highways, low cost of living, free medical, free university education for all.

I think Pakatan is doing a great job in Penang and Selangor and I do hope their continue. BN is doing their best to break up Pakatan with issues on Sex scandal on Anwar, Mat Sabu and the recent Hudud laws.

I hope Pakatan will see through this ploy and become more resolute to and stronger by it.
I will do my bit coming GE and vote for a better Malaysia.

Cheers,

She fought with swords, guns and cannons trying to put an end to the cruel British regime, the East India Company, which robbed India of much of its wealth. But you 'fight' with the pen, which is mightier than the sword, to oust the robbers who are robbing the country's wealth. I must admit that I began to loose faith in you when you gave the interview to the king spinner TV3. But when I think back of all the sacrifices you have done ,that is nothing. Happy Birthday to you.

Dear Pete,
I am still baffled and I am not going to ask you "why"? What I am going to ask is; would you drop your pants and bend over if you already know that a known rapist is standing behind you?

I should be telling, "I told you so" to you!

arazak, did you ever figure out that it was not I who allowed TV3 to interview me but TV3 that allowed me to go on the air? Then trouble is you always look at things from one angle. Doesn't it occur to you that there is always another angle to look at?

Your next question you are going to ask is "why"? Well, in time you will see and then you will get to read another article called "I told you so".

I will not tell you what you can and cannot talk about and you don't try to tell me what I can and cannot talk about. Does that work for you? it does for me! I found that somewhere in a book called DEMOCRACY.

After reading the article again, I feel sorry for the poor sector of the Indians. Many of my Tamil friends have finally come to the agreement that they have been conned. Only a small percentage are truly aware. The rest are still not. I may be wrong but I know many of my Indian friends, particularly the Tamils, are very emotional. They are very well meaning and very loyal. So, many will follow the leader out of loyalty. After discussions with my friends, the conclusion is many will still vote for the 'leader' of the day. I am sorry to say that like what RPK mentioned, the Indians missed the boat to upgrade the economic strength through the mismanagement of whom they had entrusted. It is true that others may have contributed directly or indirectly to their current predicament. But they have to work with people with the new wave thoughts of one nation.

Even after more than four decades Malaysia has remained a third world country. And how do I know this ? The proof is right there out in the open for everyone to see. The "hall of power" is really held by a select few. Most , if not all, key positions in Putrajaya are held by established political famlies . No different from the bannana republics in South America and elsewhere . As a result, it is not a surprise that positions of power in government and in business & industry are the sole monopoly of cronnies proxies and relatives of those in power. Meanwhile, the "ordinary" rakyats, be it Malay, Chinese, Indian , Kadazans, Iban and etc. are left on the outside looking in. And that is the crux of the problem in Malaysia.

How do we in avoid the Hudud pitfalls, how to move forward to improve civil rights, transparent government, minimum wages, reduce corruption, attract FDI's and reverse the brain drain. If you have positive inputs, this would be the best time to remind us, let’s forget and forgive the likes of Dr. M and Semi Values and leave those old senile buggers alone.......

Read this:
"SINGAPORE: Singapore's former minister mentor Lee Kuan Yew said it is unlikely that Singapore and Malaysia will merge in the future.

He was speaking at the Singapore Global Dialogue, held at the Shangri-La Hotel, on Thursday evening. The dialogue was attended by some 400 participants from all over world.

Mr Lee was asked by a Malaysian citizen if he foresees both countries coming to a political or economic union in the future, given the growing strength of Indonesia."

It means:
a. Singapore doesn't want to be boyfriend of girlfriend or re-married with Malaysia. Singapore just wanna to be Malaysia's friend only.
b. Indonesia is growing stronger. The Indonesia government is having upper hand in maid issue. Malaysia is eagerly wanted Indo maid, but Indonesia gov is taking their own sweet time. I think, they are protecting their citizen from working in Malaysia with low salary and being bullied. In fact, many Indon works in Arabs, SG, HK, Japan, etc for much better salary.
c. Malaysian is still keeping their impression that Indonesia is weak in economical and political wise. Hey, Obama visited Indonesia, but not Malaysia.

Many investment have flown to Indonesia nowadays, and we still can't afford Filipinos maid, but only "beg" for low salary Indon maid, who still doesn't want to come back yet.

What a pathetic Malaysian !

It's like serving the devil we know rather than the devil we don't know. A corrupted Muslim or a fundamentalist Muslim who could also be corrupted when in power ) ? We know we will be screwed by both either way - that's why we give up and leave the country of our birth and all our loved ones (nobody takes it likely but out of desperation). To reach a decent democracy (I know jib has higher standard for he wanted to have not just the best democracy but the best democracy in the world) I believe that we do need a two party system. To my mind such a system entails supporting one or the other party and nothing else. Pete here made me realise that for a two party system to work a third body, third voice, a third force must be present. And they are the electorates. Under umno the electorates meant nothing for umno is able somehow to manipulate a victory most of the time. In the two party system, the third force meant everything. The third force decides the government. Pete's view may not be right or acceptable all the time (something he himself openly and boldly admit) but at least he has the gut to voice out; and it is loud enough to serve as a check on the umno or at least to draw people's attention to issues. Great effort pete. Bravo!

Let us be honest.

Who were the beneficiaries of Malaysian political patronage system? Who benefited in the last 40 years? If it is not the Malays and then Chinese, then who? The Kadazans? The Ibans? The Indians?

Who owns the entire infrastructure companies in the country? Highways, shipping, air transport, power, telecommunications, water supply, internet ISPs, banks? Who? Who owns the private sector SMEs and most of the 900 companies on the stock exchange?

There you are, that is the patronage system and its beneficiaries. They, and their communities, voted in BN each time, because all of them were the recipients of the largesse.

Was it the Indians who voted in BN in Sarawak, in Sabah, in Trengganu, in Perlis, in Pahang? Who voted Gerakan for 40 years in Penang? The Orang Asli perhaps?

To blame anyone else is deflecting it away from the culprits, the Malays and the Chinese.

"Do you know how much Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad gave to MIC? But NONE went to the Indians. It all went into the pockets of the MIC leaders. "
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, do you know why? Cos, according to the Old Man, "90% of the Indians vote for MIC".

Sure.

But then again, a snake doth do its explanation with a forked tonguee...

Maybe Samy V had an inspiration too - from watching the Old Man at work; the latter's manner of implementing the NEP made, what(?) - 90% of UMNO members rich, and a significant number of Malays still remain poor? Hey, the GINI co-efficient tells us that much...Barry Wain wasn't writing fiction wasn't he..?..

Today, many of the NEP grads graduating from local Us couldn't write a decent letter in English to save their hide; so, in spite of THAT, why do many Malays still revere the Old Man...??....or perhaps just UMNO I help you, you help me types do that...??

Samy, Ling....etc etc....they are but a symptom of the malady. And that malady allowed the likes of Samy & Ling to cari makan senang-senang while he plundered the cream of the land. Hey, don't take my word - just read Barry Wain's wonderful book!

Happy birthday Pete!

Excellent article on Samy Vellu. However, I beg to differ slightly. In the 80s there were many Indian professionals who were horrified at the state of events in the MIC and how the Indians were increasingly being neglected. Many of these Indians wanted to make a difference, and tried to join the MIC as members.

My parents, several of our family friends, and relatives all tried to join the MIC. Their applications were rejected. Why? The underlying suspicion was Samy Vellu did not want the intellectual fraternity to invade his territory.

So many Indians tried to make a change, Pete. These were the days before the internet, though.

It is said that Malays will give their lives for king and country, Chinese will give their lives for money, but only Indians will give their lives for any damn fool. Honestly in 40 years you couldn't not see that you were being ripped off and short changed - there is no bigger fool than you. And mark my words - Indians will go crawling back to MIC and BN.

Indians are all talk. They have no interest in getting out of the rut. Oh they will talk if they were given the opportunity they will rule the world (That is mainland Indians, a whole different breed), but then they prefer to stick to the status quo. Their favourite line is always "its better the devil you know".

Yes, when I used to ask Indians why they used to vote for BN and MIC time after time you know what their answer was ? They rather have someone they know ripping them off and doing it in a way they know rather than have the change and have risk someone else ripping you off! Yes, see how big of a fools they are ?

And now they complain that they were treated lower than the low ? Indians are UMNO's safety deposit. Even if Malays leave UMNO, Indians wont.

Because Indians are ready to die for any damn fool. Just look around anywhere Indians work, they will complain about being ill treated at work but still spend 30 years in the same place giving their lives!!

No bigger fools I say!

Good piece RPK. It feels good to be able to stick your tongue out (rhetorically) & say "I told you so" doesn't it ?
To be honest, there's nothing racial about what you've written. The truth is the truth, there are no two ways about it...
We Indians deserve what we've gotten these past 60+yrs....
The generation of my parents, and theirs before them worked hard for a good life. many Indian doctors/engineers/lawyers today are the product of that hard work...
But the recent generation is always whining, and waiting with open hands for handouts; handouts that will never come.
And don't even get me started on the sheer stupidity of the Indians in voting in MIC day in day out.... Just look at the Indian political scene & one can draw many parallels. Indians seem to want to vote in people who screw them, back & front, and that too with utter veneration & glee !
MIC has stolen so much of what the government has given to the Indians, and yet Samy Velu & kin are hailed as "saviors of the Indian people". What kind of mentality is that ?
That's why the Indians deserve to suffer..... Serves them right !
We complain that we're 2nd class citizens in our country of birth, but how many of us can string a proper sentence in Malay ?
Haiyoooooh ! Sometimes I cringe in shame when I hear Indians speak Malay..... Malulah brader !
If Malaysia is indeed our home, then we need to show allegiance/patriotism.....
One way would be to speak the national language fluently (& not like some India-mari folks !).
I'm from the kampung, where my family's been for 8 generations..... I speak Malay like a Malay (even though I studied in English-medium convents my entire life, until A-levels), I'm fluent in English AND I read, write & speak Tamil fluently....
Sometimes, we just need to ketuk these stupid fellas, and make them wise up to the fact.......
Sheesh ! The trials & tribulations of an Indian !

I think the Indians and Chinese just don't have balls. Live in fear that if BN loses the election, Umno is going to send out its goons and kacau everyone and they are afraid to lose whatever little they have. I used to go collect money house to house for St.John Ambulance in Southern Perak/North Selangor and there were many many poor chinese living in meagre conditions. It was an eye opener because I thought back then the Chinese were all OK. Mind you the majority of successful people in M'sia ARE Chinese but there is a very large number of Chinese just making by and they don't want trouble. The orang arang (coal people, thats what some Sikhs called the tamils because of their skin, in private) watched Tamil movies that featured stories of rotten raping politicians in India who everybody pooja (prayed ) that the Hero starring MGR or Gemini Ganesan destroyed in the end and these orang arang got pissed about a fictional politician and boycotted my father's restaurant for a while because he said same thing about Samy Vellu that RPK is saying. This too was in the 80's, the video casette era, where porn videos were more profitable than ganja or candu. There was no syabu then

here, u read about RPK talking about indians, and other articles he also talk about the malay chinese, so he wasnt generalizing. it was just different article. he talks about "ALL" issue. so stop getting mad for nothing. unless, u didnt read the others ahh?

RPK alter ego @ Me @ Ash, its easy to detect an Umno cyber-trooper. When the same person comments under many different names to give the impression that it is many different people instead of one person, and when the postings are mocking and provocative in nature, this is the trademark of an Umno Cyber-Trooper. You are NOT debating. You are mocking me under many false names.

This, again, is the trademark of an Umno cyber-trooper.

A genuine reader does not need to do this.

Furthermore, your posting under RPK alter ego was lifted from an Umno website. And the things you say (keji) is another Melayu trademark.

You are wrong about the Indians, and even the MIC. They don't call the shots. Change your informants.

It was the Malays, Chinese and Dayaks who supported BN all these decades, because they were the beneficiaries of the 'patronage system'. These are the culprits who must be held accountable. But today they pretend otherwise, champion Pakatan, and take pains to blame other communities for BN's existence and popularity.

The greatest gains for the Chinese (and Malays) was AFTER Tan Siew Sin and MCA gave up the Ministry of Finance. Have a look at the Stock Exchange today. The momentous change for both the communities was AFTER the Indians and East Malaysians were sacrificed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & MANY HAPPY RETURNS OF THE DAY, TO OUR NATION's HERO & PATRIOT, RPK!
May Allah protect you & shower his blessings on you & your family.
YES, RPK, i've already stop buying papers from the MSM & many of us share your sentiments on the need to boycot the print & electronic MSM, the evil propaganda machine of Umno & BN on overdrive destroying the PR party at every opportunity. But the leaders of PR are just plain stupid & blind to this greatest threat against the rakyat & PR. We have always implored the PR leaders to act immediatelly to stem this MSM serious threat spewing hatred, animosity, racism, extremism, anti-Chinese, anti-Christian, anti-Hindu news & arousing hatred against the rakyat & PR party, but the PR leaders did nothing at all to act for the rakyat's & PR's interest!
The PR is in power in FOUR, yes, FOUR states govts with FULL rakyat's support & legitimate rights & justification to harrass & prevent these evil & racist papers from FREELY attacking the rakyat, the PR states & leaders of the PR govt. It's most disheartening & unbelievable that these racist & corrupt papers & TV stations are allowed to operate in the PR states & given all the FREEDOM to carry out attacks against the rakyat & PR right in their homegwown with impunity! There ares so many ways to skin this evil cat, but these PR leaders are just trying to be "ideal", but not realising they are in an environement that is a serious threat to their very survival. The Home Minister & every institution of the corrupt & racist regime refused to act against the crimes committed against the rakyat by the MSM spewing hatred & lies. There is more reason now to act & we the rakyat demand that the leaders of the PR govt act against these MSM to stop their lies creating animosity & conflict against the rakyat & PR govt.

Because he did not even squeak about the Interlok issue) the community just gets buried. He is a bloody thief. When I see the stupid Indians addressing him as Datuk or whatever shit, garlanding him with a garland that is as thick as ten-horses'-dicks tied together, I know that the bloody stupid Indians are still not seeing the truth that is constantly slapping them in their faces. Dear RPK, Happy Birthday (make a note of 27.09). And loads of good wishes - may you get whatever your heart wishes.

Thank you for all your writing and opening our eyes.

But what now - we all say we will be voting Opposition even though they have shown us they cannot govern and stay united. But we need the change to kick off. Write more to inspire every Malaysian not to believe what is said, take if they want it, but don't be obliged to BN. Yet, there is a fear that PR may not make such big wins - then even though we voted for them, I for one would like to tell them Padan Muka!

Of course, we don't know where the Indian votes will go and even if they stick with the Opposition, who knows what frogs will appear? By the way, what has happened to Sammy?? Not a squeak from him since? Smart I guess, enjoying his life and millions somewhere else.

2012 could be a depressing year for Malaysians if BN wins - what with GST and new ISA replacements which could be worse....

Happy Appearance Day RPK. The MIC is busy in their internal communal agenda. Who's in the Malayalee camp, who's in the Gounder camp etc. Investment? Go to any wedding, see how the women adorn themselves with gold, never mind if they arrive on m/bikes. Contrast that with minimal jewellery on the Orientals who arrive at their wedding dinners in luxurious vehicles. Still, enterprising young Indians have taken upon themselves to network & aquire a foot hold only to be envied by those who continue their nonchalant stroll. Unfortunately all that glitters is not gold. But one wonders, why is it that night after night, they are glued to their TV sets previewing movies esp re-runs. Nothing strange about taking in a movie. But to religiously treat the TV as a altar & pre-occupy one's mind into a make belief world is to fool one's own loved ones. Back then Semi Value used the same formula to entrench himself as a beacon to this emotionally easily swayed folk. Now their subsequent generations have a widening gap. Those who achieve with dextrity don't easily hand their vote to MIC nor loan their financial support for their ROI is sufficient to enjoy their fruits with their loved ones.

But, when someone offered them a small piece of cake (about 0.0000001% of a big cake) and told them you was lying, they immediately changed their mind. I'm now 65 years old man already, RPK, I have seen many such peoples since the day I understood what is politic. I really, really feel sad of the present situation. They all know the present ruling party is bad, that why we have 308. Not just Semi Value working for his masters, all the rest of BN component parties work for UMNO. Not just being lapdogs and kowtow, but are at the whims and fancies of UMNO. Not just because they need UMNO to give them malay-majority areas to ensure a win in the GE, they also have baggage which UMNO can use against them if they become "wayward". All these pariah lapdogs must be put to sleep so as to ensure the demise of BN/UMNO. Then we can hope for a good (I repeat : not better coz it has never been good after TDM took over) future for the country and our kids

Why is that black dog still running around freely? Should it not be hung by the balls. I will celebrate with a toast when that day arrives.

Hi Sir RPK, MANY HAPPY RETURNS ON YOUR BIRTHDAY. MAY YOU ENJOY GOOD HEALTH, HAPPINESS & WEALTH. Taking about wealth. Please CONTINUE to inform how to contribute to you solo crusade funding. I believe the "CAR" (that u) needs maintenance as well as your maintenance team (yr family) So please do not see as "alms". You don't need that. We believe, we had to support the machine (Malaysia Today.net) of yours that continue chalking out the real "goodies" that no one from Malaysia can on par with.

So please show us how we (the Rakyat) can contribute to the MT funding. You are doing a good cause for mankind not only for Malaysia but the world over. God bless you and your family always.

Once a brother of one time big wig of MIC told me that some land was available to be given but the MIC leaders withheld them because if they gave everything now then they cannot be sure they would get their votes in coming election. It always been UMNO's strategy to always have one big problem so that people are focused to it and overlook others. Look at the newspapers, just as one big scandal damaging UMNO emerges then suddenly you will have another mega stories. But that's politics smilies/cheesy.gif

Dear Pete,
You are right, they never learn. They thought that they are heroes but they don't know. that their life support depends on the voters.
Pete, hatam them and they will be more careful next time.
