Nasaruddin wants to see strong government in Perak

(Bernama) PUTRAJAYA, Feb 4 — Bota Assemblyman Datuk Nasaruddin Hashim who returned to Umno after 10 days, said he did so because he wanted to see the setting up of a strong and stable government in Perak.

“So I, in full awareness and responsibility, rejoin Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) starting today,” he told reporters after Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s press conference here today.

He said the political uncertainty and confusion in Perak to the extent of causing the state government to become unstable made him decide to return to Umno. He said he had also taken into consideration the advice and views from political friends and individuals that he should return to Unmo if he wanted to see a stable political environment and strong government in Perak.

On Jan 26, Nasaruddin announced that he was crossing over to Parti Keadilan Rakyat on the grounds of political developments after the 12th General Election and Umno internal problem.

Besides Nasaruddin who returns to Umno, Behrang Assemblymen Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi and Changkat Jering Assemblyman Mohd Osman Jailu from Parti Keadilan Rakyat as well as Jelapang Assemblyman Hee Yit Foong from DAP have left their parties and become independent.

Hee refused to talk to reporters when asked on her move. — Bernama
