IPOH: Perak assemblyman Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi (Behrang) said he and Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu (Changkat Jering) no longer consider themselves state executive councillors.

Saya bukan exco lagi. (I am no longer an exco member),” Jamaluddin said when asked if he would be attending Friday’s exco meeting.

Asked about Osman, who could not be reached, he said: “I just spoke to him and like me he will be an independent assemblymen and does not consider himself an exco member anymore.”

Osman had also left PKR because it had “kicked him out,” said Jamaluddin.

On what was his next move, Jamaluddin said he wanted to continue serving his constituents and would maintain his service centre in Behrang.

He, however, does not plan to remove the PKR signboard from the premises.

“I will not remove it. PKR rejected me but I will not reject PKR. My wife and child are still members of the party,” he said.

Jamaluddin added that Osman did not want to answer any calls but had spoken to him because they were old friends.

At a press conference on Tuesday night, Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin had told reporters that both assemblymen were no longer considered state excos.

“Since they are no longer with the state government, they will not be allowed to attend any exco meetings or enter into the state assembly hall as assemblymen,” he had said.
