What if..

Question 1: What if the Judiciary found that the Sultan of Perak had in actuality acted beyond the authority as per outlined in the State Constitution? Question 2: What if the Judiciary found the two resignation letters legitimate and valid, and declares these two state constituency seats as vacant?

Stupid questions, but ones that need to be asked nevertheless. Getting answers are the hard part of the equation. Anyway, if the Judiciary does in fact find that the Sultan does not possess either the authority or the royal prerogative to dismiss a Menteri Besar, this would make the Perak BN – royal sponsored State Government illegal. This finding will also consequentially nullify the recent swearing-in ceremony at Iskandariah Palace and the unconstitutional transfer of powers associated with it. Additionally, it will also mean that PR State Government can go back to their offices in the State Secretariat, but will the PDRM and FRU allow them in? Will PDRM evict the current unlawful tenants, using exactly the same tactics, in the first place? Will this ever happen?

The current status quo is Pakatan 28 and BN 28 plus 3, including one female frog. I know this sounds crazy but what if the presiding judge actually gets his day in court and shockingly find both ex-PKR politicians guilty of corruption? There would be two by-elections automatically, right? And what if Pakatan wins both seats? The new status will stand at Pakatan 30 and BN 28 plus 1 female frog, and no matter how many calculators, abacus and fingers that I use, 30 is still a number larger than 28 plus 1 female frog. If this is evidently so, does this means that Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin can make yet another trip to the Palace to show HRH that Pakatan has legally regained the confidence of the Perak people and thus capable of forming the State Government? Will HRH accept the unblemished truth and allow Pakatan to do so or will HRH insist that the position PR is in is still untenable, even with a slim majority but a majority nonetheless? Or will HRH still be royally pissed off with Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin that he insist PR submit yet another list of three candidates for the post of Perak MB?

Since I am going off the bend, what if Pakatan submits a combination of three Chinese and Indian names (without a single Malay amongst the three)? Will HRH ignore the State Constitution (again) to pick one non-Malay as the MB? Or what if Pakatan do submit a Malay name in the list and he was chosen but this “spanking new” MB dissolves the State Government immediately after the swearing-in ceremony? Will HRH consent to it? Makes one wonder, eh?

A lot of stupid “what-ifs”…time for me to go out and check the color of the moon, or see if I am able to catch a glimpse of those flying khinzirs…
