Open Letter to Hee Yit Fong

Hee Yit Fong, I don't know where you're hiding but if you're reading this, let me say this to you. I had to restrain myself from making angry curses at you all this while, not that you don't deserve it all. I have a lot to say but I'll try to make it short and simple imagining the mental stress you're having.

We have two by-elections scheduled for April, and the next by-election could very well be for Jelapang itself. Yes, your constituency. You've made yourself an outcast and lost your freedom by going against the people. What has been done is very hard to be undone, but you can still do something right. The wisest choice for you now is to quit politics if you want to carry on living meaningfully. Please act on the option that brings relief to yourself and the majority of good Malaysians.

You have been with the DAP for a big part of your life. And I don't believe anyone can be everything bad if he can stick with a poor DAP for over 20 years. I'm writing this with the hopeful assumption that your conscience is still intact as a fellow human-being and Malaysian. Therefore, I would also assume that you have fully realized the magnitude and folly of your actions. A lot of people believe in the sagacious principle of 'cause and effect', which predates the physical Newton's Law of 'for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.' Meaning that, both East and West would punish your very damaging action. Chinese culture is more demanding; it slaps us with more sting and vigour.

To live a happy and meaningful life, we must as much as possible disallow ego, inconsideration, obstinacy and selfishness to be the foodstuff of our short journey here on earth. This, I'm sure you're aware of. Also, I'm sure unlike UMNO, you do care and feel for the country, your family, your children?

Hee Yit Fong, if easing your life back into humble society appeals to you, here is something you ought to do, if you're still in with your confusion and depression.

1. Call for a press conference to announce your resignation. Humble down and redeem yourself as much as you possibly can.

2. Ask for forgiveness from your constituents and Malaysians for your unforgivable mistake. Appeal to them, make a deal with them with your resignation, to discontinue harassing and threatening you or your family. Get help from your ex-DAP colleagues if they are willing. I'm sure they'll be glad to help as it benefits Pakatan, Perakians and Malaysians. You might be forgiven but not forgotten. But then, that's life if we do wrong unto others. The important thing is to have the courage to admit to the debacle. Life would be easier when you're forgiven.

You should not fear UMNO or MCA coming for you if you haven't committed any crime. But just for your own protection, commit Pakatan to your defence should they threaten you.

3. Then resign from your seat to make way for another by-election. That's the most you can and should do given the circumstances.

We come into being with nothing, and leave with nothing but our names. Repent, Hee Yit Fong, and minimise the bad vibes and effects. The curses and threats will end with your withdrawal from politics, which no longer will last for you anyway. Like you before, the people are dead set against UMNO/BN. Do reconcile with your conscience and live a free and honest life.

Meanwhile, the curses and threats continue.

All The Best,

Kenny
