Trouble in Perak


It’s interesting to note that if they’re found guilty, Zambry and his excos may be punished with suspension or even expulsion.

A day after the glorious V-Day, it looks like the turmoil in Perak is going to prolong with no end in sight.

First, the ousted MB Nizar Jamaluddin has launched a suit against the newly sworn-in BN government to be declared as an illegitimate government.

Second, DAP V Sivakumar will remain as the legislative speaker of the Perak state assembly and Malaysiakini reported that the BN-appointed MB and his excos have been summoned to face the Committee of Privileges on Wednesday alleged of House regulations and rules violation.

It’s interesting to note that if they’re found guilty, Zambry and his excos may be punished with suspension or even expulsion.

Three, while Perak MCA adviser Ong Ka Chuan said BN must unite to face the imminent Bukit Gantang by-election, there appears to be a crack where the MCA deputy-president Chua Soi Lek complained about over-representation of Umno in the Perak state exco composition with a stark clash between Gerakan and MCA, where a Gerakan "advisor" was appointed to take care of Chinese affairs.

"People will compare the composition of EXCO plus the advisor against the line up of the previous PR government. I wonder the new MB has ever discussed with its component party before the appointment of advisors or is it a question of after appointment, then only inform," he said on his blog.
