Defy speaker, Youth wing says

(NST) – Umno Youth wants Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Othman and six state executive councillors to defy their suspension from the state assembly and to attend its session when it was called.

Party deputy youth chief Datuk Khairy Jamaluddin said their suspensions were not based on the law and regulations but, rather, it was a political decision by Speaker V. Sivakumar. "I hope the first subject of discussion when the assembly meets is about replacing the speaker. Otherwise, he will continue to hamper the government's work," he told reporters at Lemal, here, yesterday.
