DONT VICTIMIZE SRJK (C) SIN MING PUCHONG

Last Sunday, leaders from Pakatan Rakyat participated in a fund raising event organized by SIN MING school in Puchong. I was disappointed to note the absence of the headmaster and teachers of the school at the event despite the fact the Mentri Besar of Selangor making it a point to appear at the event. We were there to help the school. It was a genuine effort and we raised some RM350,000 at the event that evening itself.

I have been told that the headmaster and teachers were told to refrain from attending the function. They were reminded that they were not to support functions of  Pakatan Rakyat.

This to me, is total nonsense. Why does the Barisan Nasional government not go that extra step further? Will it come to a stage where the BN asks schools also to return funds collected from the public who are aligned to PAKATAN RAKYAT?

Does it matter which party one is from? Doesn’t the bottom line remain the same and that is that funds are to be channeled towards the school in support of the school and its students who have no political affiliation?
