Ibrahim under attack again from Pas

(NST) Kelantan Pas has had it with independent Pasir Mas MP Datuk Paduka Ibrahim Ali's outbursts against the party.

Its secretary, Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan, said yesterday Ibrahim's statements against the party that gave him a ticket to stand in the last general election were unnecessary and disappointing.

He said this was behind the party's call to Ibrahim to step down from his seat.

"As the ones who allowed him to contest on a Pas ticket, we are disappointed with his attitude, stand and actions which we feel have hurt our image. Going to Parliament, causing problems, quarrelling with Pas and Pakatan Rakyat MPs and using harsh words should not be done.

"Other people also voice their opposition in Parliament but not like him. You can criticise but in a good manner. We have been compiling reports against him."
Takiyuddin said many people in the state were unhappy with the Pasir Mas MP's actions, especially voters.

"It is not just his antics in Parliament. He has also been going around to villages saying the Pas government was incapable of bringing development and that Pas MPs were going to Parliament without doing their homework. To us that is not positive criticism and it was just to hurt our image and shame us."

Meanwhile, commenting on reports that Ibrahim might rejoin Umno, Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said since he was an independent, he could do what he liked.
