The war drum can still be heard and the flame of war is spreading from north to south, and from Peninsula to Sarawak.

There will be Umno's party elections in March, the war spirit is up. Meanwhile, the two by-elections in April would be a “getting ready period”.

Umno's party elections is going to be an intense battle, an open strife on the stage and a veiled struggle behind the stage.

Open strife refers to fighting for TV appearances and newspapers coverage; meeting the grassroots, and flaunting themsleves. While veiled struggle means to offer money and benefits, negotiate for transactions and blacken their opponents.

"Our politicians have additional or overflowing energies. Thus, they are good in both open strife and veiled struggle."

After the party elections, they will continue with the by-elections.

The two by-elections are scheduled just right after the party elections. These will be the third and fourth fight between BN and Pakatan Rakyat after the 8 March general elections.

Before this, BN was depressed after suffering two defeats while Pakatan Rakyat was high in morale. A bolt from the blue, hopping frogs made BN win back a round and Pakatan Rakyat launched a shoot; regimes change seems to have become semi-paralysed, triggering voices from the public.

The politics arena fell into a chaos, are those incidents a coincidence, a conspiracy or an act of God?

BN needs two victories to declare the return of a strongman while Pakatan Rakyat needs to defend its two regimes to stabilise its position.

This is a life and death battle, as well as a public opinion referendum. The one who gains public support will be the winner. And thus, these two by-elections carry a significance to the country.

The flame of war is spreading. After Perak and Kedah, the battle continues in Sarawak.

The flame of war is spreading. If Elizabeth Wong insists on the resignation, another battle will take place in Selangor.

The flame of war is spreading. If the anti-Ong group gets blessing from 800 central committee representatives, they will sure rise for rebellion and call for a special general assembly session, setting off another major battle within MCA.

Don't be surprised, and you don't have to worry. Our politicians have additional or overflowing energies. Thus, they are good in both open strife and veiled struggle. Moreover, the temptation of power can make a person indomitable.

Should we clear off the mist outside the window or just admit fate?

Where is the path?

Distinguish between right and wrong, the path lies beneath your feet!
