BN reps lodge reports after death threats

(The Star) KUALA TERENGGANU: Three Barisan Nasional assemblymen have lodged police reports after allegedly receiving death threats via short messaging service (SMS) – a day before a speculated tabling of a no-confident motion against Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said.

The assemblymen – Datuk Rosol Wahid (Ajil), Zakaria Ariffin (Paka) and Halim Jusoh (Pemaisuri) alleged that they had received the threats between 11.30pm to midnight yesterday.

They said they were at home when they received the SMS from a mobile phone.

Rosol lodged a report at Ajil police station after getting the message while the other two lodged reports at the police headquarters here.

At press time, all three assemblymen were still at the police stations awaiting investigation officers to act on their reports.

It is learnt that the motion of no-confidence is expected to be tabled at the state legislative assembly today despite the alleged death threats.
