Sivakumar suspends assembly secretary, again

(The Star) – Perak State Assembly Speaker V. Sivakumar has suspended assembly secretary Abdullah Antong Sabri for issuing the Friday notice to convene the state assembly on May 7 without his knowledge or consent.

Sivakumar says he would seek an audience with Perak’s Sultan Azlan Shah to clarify if the palace had given permission for an assembly to be convened.

The last time the speaker suspended Abdullah was in early March for supposedly failing to act impartially.
