Unsolicited Views For The PM

A Kadir Jasin

IT has been a while since I wrote about the new cabinet, which I simply described as “interesting”. Note the word interesting was deliberately put in inverted commas.

Some had criticized me, thinking that I fully endorsed it because of the description. They had missed the point.

Others had criticized me for wanting to wait six months before making any comment – other than “interesting” – on Mohd Najib’s cabinet.

There were those who went as far as to accused me of wanting bodek or suck up to the Prime Minister.

I thought it was fair to wait. Six months isn’t such a long time. Come October we can all subject him to our set of Key Performance Indicators – things like political stability, food prices, the incidence of crime, employment and toll rates.

But since many have expressed their opinions – including my kopitiam Umno veterans — I think it’s only fair that I collate some of these views and comments.

Who knows, the PM or his media and political handlers may read our views and react positively to our feedbacks, though unsolicited.

Since these are not directly my views, I’ll endeavour to be as truthful and as accurate as I can in capturing the mood and essence of the commentators’ view and opinions.
