Federal Crt sends Nizar-Zambry case back to High Crt

(Suara Keadilan) – The Federal Court has dismissed an application by BN Menteri Besar Zambry Kadir to interpret sections of the Perak state constitution to determine if he was the rightful chief minister.

The apex court sent the case back to the Kuala Lumpur High Court, where Pakatan Rakyat Menteri Besar Nizar Jamaluddin has filed a lawsuit against him, challenging his appointment.

Justice Alauddin Mohd Sheriff said disputed facts existed between the affidavits filed by Nizar and the state legal advisor Ahmad Kamal Shahid, who is representing Zambry.

As such, the case should be determined by the high court, he ruled.
