“Pity Khir Toyo – He is being prosecuted politically..”

1. After a brief period of silence, Khir Toyo (KT) is back in the news. Today, he claims that the impending motion to suspend him in the Selangor is politically motivated. I have one thing to say to KT; OFF COURSE IT IS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED AND YOU DESERVE EVERY BIT OF IT. You are in politics and the way he and his BN colleagues have been doing unhealthy politicking for ages which include the abuse of position and power.

2. He is absolutely right that BALKIS is a matter within the jurisdiction of Registrar of Society (ROS) but he must also remember that what his wife did by moving out BALKIS funds is wrong morally and legally. The worst part is that instead of doing the right thing, he defended her. It is probably a difficult decision but doing a right thing has a long term impact. He failed to realize the value of doing the right thing.

3. He had also refused to attend SELCAT investigation. SELCAT was set up by the state legislation. It is a legal entity within the State Assembly. Unfortunately he chose to be rude to the important organization. He chose to criticize it openly. He showed no respect to the law. The impending punishment is not so much about how BALKIS spends their money but more towards KT arrogance towards SELCAT.

4. On the news today, KT claims that the punishment is unjustified and he is going to seek legal recourse. I believe that is very much in the rights of KT since the Federal Court has set a precedent in their judgement in Perak. “Now every assemblyman can go to court.” Article 72 of the Federal Constitution no longer caries any meaning is probably worth to be deleted from the Federal Constitution. I support Khir in this case. Go ahead and challenge the State Legislative Assembly. PR will have nothing to lose but more to gain.
