Rebutting Koh Lay Chin

RPK is fighting for equality, human rights and civil liberties in a nation besotted by half a century of farcical rule. Toyol is charged with corruption. Comparing Aung San Suu Kyi with Saloth Sar? One is doing the right thing and the other thinks he is doing the right thing. Look here KLC, being a Pakatan supporter within a BN ruled country does not automatically makes us stupid, Stupid.

Malaysians, just like everyone else that coexist in this world, are humans and with it comes intelligence. That is how we are separated from the beast and the vegetables and why we are at the top of the food chain.

What is intelligence but the capability to reason, logic, plan, solve, learn, understand and to use language? With these, we are granted the capacity of choice and here we use a basis of logic and rationale to reinforce our undertakings.

The perception of acceptance to ISA when it was used on Mas Selamat is incorrect. Just because the public remained silent, it does not mean that they fully support it. The choice of keeping quiet is their choice and it does not reflect their preferences. Mas Selamat is an armed terrorist with real guns firing real bullets. The most RPK can do is use the keyboard to whack one on the head (if the connecting cable is long enough). That is why KLC’s logic is at fault here when he utilised the two to make a comparison. Ever heard of apples and oranges?

As for the decision in regarding the Perak Fiasco, it is also the choice of the people to support the High Court decision and to belittle the Appeals Court’s verdict. Just as the Judges are free to interpret the word of law, the public is free to deduce that the latter’s decision is unconstitutional, what with the precedent Stephen Kalong Ningkan case.

Again, KLC’s use of this as example is flawed. It is definitely not a case of knocking decisions that does not favour us but a case of what we believe to be correct. The Constitution does not state that HRH is permitted to sack the MB. When the Judges deem it possible and rightful, it is acting in contravention to the Constitution and the people are legally and morally right to criticize this decision.

Yes, a lot of people support RPK and his disappearance act but using Toyol (correct spelling) as a comparison is an insult to our intelligence.

BTW, what’s wrong with wanting low cost, energy efficient, environmental friendly cars that goes from zero to hundred in less than six seconds? And what’s wrong with hating Cambridge or Oxford graduates? Liverpool fans hate MU fans but it doesn’t make both teams bad (neither does it make both teams good).

As for hating and loving the royalty, it is a matter of perception and choice again. Everybody respects another person who is perceptibly fair, impartial and acts in accordance to his words, no matter if this person is cock-eyed, three foot tall (standing on a chair) or possesses a pinkish inclination. Wouldn’t you? However, to be unfair and partial to another political party henceforth making a doubtful decision cannot be condoned and be expected to retain respect, especially when this one person is in a position of authority. Now KLC, is that too much for you to understand?

What’s wrong with hiring Indonesian maids? They need to work too, correct? What’s wrong with complaining about foreigners overcrowding our shores? At last count, there are over a million and a half illegal aliens here. We are talking about those that have overstayed their visa or entered the country illegally.

KLC, you asked one of your more “progressive” friends and he came up with an answer that you construe as “half-empty, half-full”. Is this one person representative of the entire populace in Malaysia? Poisson’s theory on probability states that the more sample is utilised, the more accurate the results will be. One out of twenty-five million is not exactly the epitome of accuracy, agree?

One thing I do agree with you is that Malaysia is indeed a nation full of irony and incongruity. So tell me, which nation on this face of the world isn’t? BTW, Saloth Sar is Pol Pot’s real name.
