Malaysian Authorities And Leadership Can’t Even Kill Lalang Properly

Yup, this is my most sincere perception of the Malaysian Authorities and Leadership to date.

By miniaturz

They see lalang and they spray weed-killer on the top of the weed but not at the roots. The top of the lalang dies, but the weed lives on.

[1] Malaysian Leadership gives very good proposal on how to create unity in this country, but doesn't practice a single word of it. Instead, we have divisive policies. Of coz, now we have the 1-Malaysian concept, but truth is, this nation is still split between the VIP UMNOputras, the Bumiputras and "Dan Lain Lain". Instead of really uniting the people at the grassroots, the UMNOputras will continue to use so called "national policies" to divide the nation so that their own personal gains could be strengthened.

[2] So, the police are arresting Ah Longs , just to get the recent heavy criticism off their backs. What's worse than police not doing their jobs? Answer – police not doing their jobs when the major newspapers highlighting crimes that are happening under their very noses with more embarassing photo pix. So of coz, the police have no choice but to take action against the Ah Longs lah. But, that's another pouring of weed-killer. Again, the root of the problem is not solved. This country is suffering financial problems especially for the lower-income group, regardless of what the Govt says. If a middle income person like me is facing financial difficulties in securing funds to run my biz operations, I can't imagine the lower income citizens surviving without funds or loans from the banks. So, does nabbing the Ah Longs alone solve the problem? Nope – the police probably just converted more than a few of the financially poor into desperate criminals like robbers and thieves.

[3] Yup, catch the Mat Rempits, but don't do anything to help the really poor. Just as I mentioned above, these guys comes from families so poor ( coz all the wealth went to companies owned by rich UMNO putras ) they have nothing to do but risk their lives on the road doing cheap thrills and exposing themselves to negative influence just to rebel against society. And does the Govt really take any pro-active action on this problem? Nope – instead more fields and playgrounds are making way for  commercial buildings.

[4] All those talk about nabbing illegal immigrants and yet, the number just grow every year. Why? Becoz just like cutting the lalang or spraying the weed-killer at the top, while the enforcement officers catch a handful, the corrupted immigration officers at check-point borders are closing eyes to the thousands that make their way into this country illegally. And every Raya, we'll hear the promotion plan – surrender yourselves and you get a free trip back to your homeland. Whoopee – and they thought US was the happening country to be in. Over here in Malaysia, the illegal immigrants don't even need to take the oath test lah – just pay off the corrupted officers and you can be a a permanent resident already.

[5] Raise petrol prices and electricity tarriffs causing all prices to be inflated, especially for essential items.  Then when petrol prices goes down, electriticity tarriffs and most prices remained while the citizens's pay do not increase in tandem. It's worst for the retailers who don't get fixed salaries as the country moves into the global financial problems. So what do authorities do? Try to educate the Malaysians to buy Malaysian products and cut down on unnecessary spendings . And the best joke – the Bank Negara tries to fool the public into thinking inflation is at 1% instead of 10% or more!

To the pro-BN Govt Supporters – I am saying the BN Govt is inefficient and the authorities hopeless. Anyone with a sincere heart in trying to solve the people's problems can do a better job anytime. But even the smartest person cannot solve the problem if he's corrupted. Simple as that.
