About PAS’ Demand for Journalists to Cover Up
Come now, you men of PAS. Stop this hypocritical and pathetic behaviour. The bottom line is that you don't respect women which means you don't respect human beings.

This is a strange demand by Pas, a political party that many voters voted for in the last election and which was reported in all news media.
Now, this to me appears to be one of the most important issues by a political party at their annual conference.
Covering up of a person is common sense and needs no further instructions unless of course people have decided to come in in their birthday suits!! This instruction was given by PAS members to the women reporters as many did not have the tudung on. This seemed to be a blanket demand against the non-muslim women reporters. What irks me most is that the demand went further to say that if they did not have any tudung, then they should pick any rags up to cover up their hair.
Let me put it to the PAS members. Covering up the hair of a woman is the woman's prerogative. Nobody in his right frame of mind should tell a fellow human being as to what is right and wrong especially when it comes to his personal habits and to his personal culture.
Perhaps there are some PAS members who will demand that women should cover up their heads with a rag or any piece of paper or cloth picked up from the garbage container. Perhaps that is how they respect women in this country or any country in this world.
I would not even be surprised if they were to demand that women should just rush to the toilets and pick up some used toilet paper to cover their head as long as it covers up the head.
Come now, you men of PAS. Stop this hypocritical and pathetic behaviouur. The bottom line is that you don't respect women which means you don't respect human beings He who does not respect women have no place on earth. Do you know that women are the most important creations by God Almighty? Do you know that there is a heaven in every woman’s body? That part of a woman that is the earthly heaven is the womb of a woman. It is through this womb that a single cell multiplies into a foetus and then into a baby boy or girl. It is through a womb of a woman that every man, woman, child, mother and father is evolved from. Don't ever forget this. Has PAS members forgotten this most sacred virtue of life on earth?
How many PAS members stand up in a bus or in trains when they see women standing when the rest of the men are seated. I have seen many who don't care or pretend not to care. Is this how PAS men treat women at home? I have also seen many Muslim men who maintain very poor hygiene – both body and oral hygiene. Their body odour is unbearable. This is dangerous for their own good health as well as for their wife and children. Their overgrown beards are often unkempt, unsightly and unclean; often leading to chronic skin diseases. Are they aware that many of their wives have to bear with the bad odour from the bodies of such men who couldn’t care less if it matters or not to their wives. All they seem to be concerned about is misquoting religious teachings to suit their selfish intentions.
Get real, PAS members. If you want the rest of the population to support you in political areas then you have to prove to them you are one among them and not one of those who prefer to disengage, make yourself look like alien specimens not akin to this earth. Be one with the citizens; hold and practice good intentions that will bring about better lives for all Malaysians irrespective of caste, creed or community. Only then can you ever dream of political ambitions. Otherwise it is as good as dead. Nobody is ever going to take you seriously but rather view you as a pack of disgruntled, disillusioned characters trying to make their presence felt. Is this what you want? Don't waste your life.
