Live Dewan fiasco


(The Edge) 9.15am: Perak Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen, led by Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming, arrives at parliament to support former Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin's swear-in as Bukit Gantang parliamentarian.

10.18am: Tun Abdullah Ahamad Badawi just took his place in the Dewan.

10.17am: Nurul Izaah, Segambut MP walked out. Kuala Krai, Kuala Selangor and Padang Serai MPs all thrown out.

10.14am: Datuk Mahfuz Omar (PAS-Pokok Sena) was told to leave because he refused to take out armband.

10.11am: Commotion in House when Nizar shouted "hidup, hidup" and "bubar DUN" right after swearing in.

Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin also told the PR MPs to take out the "Bubar DUN" banner that they are wearing. Ngeh and Nga adamant and has been asked to leave the house.

10.10am: Bukit Gantang MP Nizar thrown out of Dewan Rakyat 5 minutes after his swear-in.

10.05am: Nizar sworn in as Bukit Gantang MP to chants of "Hidup, hidup" in the House, shouting erupts.

10.04am: Muhyiddin Yassin meets Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong (MCA-Ayer Hitam) in the lobby of parliament.

9.59am: Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim chats with Salahuddin Ayub (PAS-Kubang Kerian) and Mohamed Azmin Ali (PKR-Gombak) before entering the Dewan Rakyat.

9.56am: Nga Kor Ming (DAP-Taiping), Lim Kit Siang (DAP-Ipoh Timur) and Lim Guan Eng (DAP-Bagan) enter the Dewan Rakyat.

Nga and Guan Eng are sporting arm bands that read "Bubar DUN (Dissolve the state assembly)".

9.44am: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (BN-Pagoh) arrives in parliament.

9.42am: Nizar meets Perak PR reps at the lobby.
