PAS for all and all for PAS? Maybe not

The football field in Manek Urai Lama has not seen any football for about a fortnight now. The reason is simple.

It has been converted into a permanent campaign centre for PAS.

Should public amenities be used for political purposes? Well, it was officiated by none other than Tok Guru Nik Aziz and the way things work in rural life, use of the field has become the right of the Kelantan mentri besar.

Every night and day, ceramahs and activities such as lucky draws and telematches are held here. There are even friendly Thai kickboxing matches to entertain the crowd before bicycles and hampers are given away.

Elsewhere, there are "alternative entertainment concerts" being held.

So who says PAS are a bunch of hardline extremists who believe having fun means you end up in hell?

Well, perhaps I haven't told the entire story just yet.
