Threatened with Sedition Act, Boo tells accusers to learn Mandarin
First, they accused him of sedition because he allegedly likened the Bumiputera affirmative policies to apartheid, now he is telling them to learn Mandarin!
DAP’s Dr Boo Cheng Hau is accused of making the statement at the Johor State Assembly and at a forum in Batu Pahat on June 28.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein warned that action would be taken against him if he continued to make the comparison.
Dr Boo said Hishammuddin was making a statement based on what was written in Utusan Malaysia by its columnist Awang Selamat.
He added that the forum where he spoke was conducted in Mandarin and said both Hishammuddin and Awang Selamat should learn the language instead on relying on second-hand information,
Also at the forum was MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek and Khaw Veon Szu from Gerakan.
