Kelantan PAS Youth claim bribery in Manek Urai

(Bernama) KUALA KRAI, July 18 — Kelantan PAS Youth has lodged a police report alleging Barisan Nasional (BN) of bribery at a government premise during the Manek Urai by-election four days ago.

The report was made by Kuala Krai PAS Youth chief Mahadi Mat Zin and Kelantan PAS Youth deputy chief Hisyam Fauzi at Kuala Krai police headquarters (IPD) at 11.20am yesterday.

Kelantan PAS Youth chief Abdul Latiff Abdul Rahman who accompanied Mahadi when making the report urged police to investigate the alleged bribery at a South Kelantan Development Authority (Kesedar) building at Peria on July 14.

He claimed that BN had misused a federal government building near the Sekolah Kebangsaan Peria polling centre to bribe voters.

“We have proof in the form of photographs and VCD on the bribery activities.

Mahadi was pushed down while trying to enter the premise,” he told reporters at Kuala Krai IPD here today.

Abdul Latiff said Kelantan PAS Youth will also report and give the proof to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) so that it could investigate.

Meanwhile, Mahadi said he went to a Kesedar wooden building accompanied by observer Malaysians for For Free Elections (Mafrel) and the party lawyer and saw voters lining up to receive “something”.
