Suara Keadilan appends below comments from various leaders on his tragic death sourced from various media:

benghock27Anwar Ibrahim, Opposition Leader
Firm action must be taken. The chairman of MACC must be held accountable. This death is a cruel one. Enough is enough.

Lim Kit Siang, DAP adviser
The MACC has become Umno’s tool to topple the Selangor government. Stop the war against Pakatan. This shouldn’t have happened. It happened because MACC launched a war against Pakatan Rakyat. Najib must stop this war.

If anyone is guilty of politicising MACC and causing Teoh’s death, it is Umno and Barisan Nasional which have turned MACC into its catspaw to persecute the Pakatan Rakyat.

benghock29Right-thinking and justice-loving Malaysians regardless of race, religion or political beliefs must ensure that Teoh Beng Hock, political secretary to DAP Selangor State Exco and Seri Kembangan Assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah, should not die in vain.

Lim Guan Eng, DAP secretary general and Penang Chief Minister
We want to tell Beng Hock that he will not be forgotten. We also want to tell the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission that we will not let them off the hook.

The MACC office is not a six-star hotel, if you are allowed to go home, you would go home. There is no spa, no sauna. Why would you want to stay there?

Husam Musa, Kelantan PAS executive councillor
Beng Hock is our hero. There is no doubt that Beng Hock was murdered. Malaysia is not safe anymore.

Teng Chang Khim, Speaker of the Selangor state assembly
People die in police lock-ups, people die in MACC and next time, people will even die in JPN (National Registration Department).

Teresa Kok, MP for Seputeh and assemblywoman for Kinrara
You cared for the people and the country. We bid you farewell. Rest in peace.

Teoh Leong Hwee, Beng Hock’s father

I want you to convey this to the Prime Minister, that the rejection of the second post-mortem does not mean we accept as truth the one that was carried out.

Ahmad Said Hamdan, MACC chief

Let the police investigate and solve the case. Don’t muddy the situation. I too personally want to know what actually happened.

Abdul Shukur Idrus, Selangor Umno information chief

Give the MACC and the police time. It seems that the state government is not carrying out its responsibilties and instead making Teoh’s death their main agenda and having gatherings. We hope police will not issue any permits for such gatherings ( like the Kelana Jaya one on Sunday).
