When stubbornness and rhetoric collide

While I offer my condolences to the family and the bride to be, I offer no such sympathies to the degenerate politicians and commenters who dare to exploit this man's death for their own political purposes knowingly.

Similarly I offer no sympathy to the Home Minister, the police for and the MACC for being stubborn by prolonging the revelations and investigative findings of this case post haste. It is a decision by a stubborn faction of the civil service who apparently has no care about their own credibility.

It is imperative that the investigation be thoroughly transparent to the public. At the same time it is imperative for the public to remain independent and not prejudiced nor influenced by would be political hacks who are trying to cover up the cracks in what they call a "Pakatan" with no common foundation other than the quest for federal governance.

A Royal Commission, while a good idea, is not effective without the guarantee that all recommendations put forth are fully implemented by the Federal Government without scrutiny and favor by the Executive. One would hope that at least some politicians and NGOs would have learned and mentioned this since the IPCMC never came to being.

Now, while this matter is being investigated, I also think that MPs should not bring this issue up in Parliament since it is against the standing orders of the house. As such, I think it is time Pandikar Amin as Speaker put forth a statement that any MP that even insists on bringing this matter up in the Dewan Rakyat will be joining Gobind Singh Deo by being banned for a year from the Hall to ensure the peace of the house.

And considering that the next session is in October, I'm sure that most MPs would be forgetful enough to empty out the Opposition benches due to their lack of memory.

At the same time, the MACC should start suing people for slander. Start with RPK and Malaysia Today. Heck, asks Teoh's family for consent even.

Finally, it is also imperative that the media continues to apply pressure on the authorities to hastenly investigate this case, as well as highlighting should the Opposition use the death of one of their own as a sacrificial lamb for political firepower.
