JOKE OF THE DAY: DISTINGUISHED SERVICE ORDER FOR MUSA HASSAN, THE WORST IGP IN MALAYSIA

DSO – it is more like Disastrous Service Order!

If I wanted to play the lousy old politics of some UMNO ultras, I would lash out at Singapore government for awarding the country’s Distinguished Service Order to Malaysian Inspector General of Police, Musa Hassan, for not being sensitive to the feeling of rakyat Malaysia. But no, I won’t, for I am not ‘tuan Melayu‘ enough to qualify as an UMNO ultra. After all, that’s Singapore’s prerogative to award whatever it finds fit to any Malaysian officer. But to us, we call it the joke of the day.

Musa Hassan is probably the IGP responsible for the worst state of Polis Di-Raja Malaysia (PRDM), now commonly known as Polis Raja Di Malaysia (PRDM), ‘raja’ for its infamous abuse of power and its gangsterish behaviour without regard to rule of law and due process of justice. Musa Hassan himself is tainted with allegations of involvement in tempering and fabricating evidence during the political conspiracy campaign against Anwar Ibrahim in 1998, in cooperation with none-other-than current Attorney General. It is no wonder why the state of law and order in Malaysia is at its worst form.

When a IGP fails to even contain street crimes, let alone tackling them or handling more sophisticated crimes of the world, you call that IGP ‘distinguished’?
