Speaker to act against Pakatan reps

(NST) SITIAWAN: Perak Assembly Speaker Datuk R. Ganesan is studying the actions to be taken against Pakatan Rakyat (PR) assemblymen for challenging resolutions passed by assembly sittings.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said PR assemblymen "had gone too far" when they made wild allegations about resolutions passed during assembly sittings.

"Enough is enough. When resolutions or decisions are passed by Barisan Nasional assemblymen during sittings, they say they (resolutions) are undemocratic.

"But what about them challenging Ganesan? On what basis?

"Only the opposition would resort to such actions. Making accusations and then go to court," he said yesterday when asked to comment on Selangor Assembly Speaker Teng Chang Kim's action against BN assemblymen who challenged resolutions passed during sittings.
