IGP Denies Saying Ministers May Assist In PKFZ Cabinet Paper Probe
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 (Bernama) — Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan tonight denied a news report quoted him as having said that a minister or ministers would be called up to assist in the probe on the leakage of the Cabinet Paper on the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) issue.
Police Assistant Director of Management for Public Affairs ACP Lai Yong Heng said in a statement that Musa had at no time mentioned that a minister or ministers would be called up for that purpose at a function at the Ampang Jaya police district headquarters earlier today.
"What he (Musa) said was that witnesses or individuals will be called up to assist in the investigations and have their statements recorded," he said.
Well I did some Catch Up TV and it was true – the IGP did not mention any hint that a politician or cabinet minister would be called up.

IGP: "They will brief me…in due course…ok…full statements recorded and all that..Especially also the report ya..the Cabinet Paper yang dikeluarkan dibawah OSA kita akan siasat ok"
Voice over: He declined to elaborate further as investigations are under way.
So actually unless there is a leak, there is nothing to suggest a Minister would be hauled up for questioning.
Well I do hope no Minister is hauled up. It will be tantamount to inflicting yet another self inflicted blow on Barisan Nasional.
If you wonder today, how on earth, once again the Government finds itself on the ropes, I think it all started with Misi Tawan Selangor. Before TBH became one of the most widely recognized initials in the country, several Pakatan lawmakers complained loudly about the influence of organized crime in the Selangor State government, prompting Ronnie Liu to act a 'cacing kepanasan.' However, the focus around the alleged triad links deep in the Selangor State Government shifted dramatically when the country watched in disbelief on the evening news about a dead body being carried away from Plaza Massalam. The Government had a chance then to be seen to be proactive but instead it relied on T4TBH and bloggers to do spin countless of stories regarding what could possibly have happened, ranging from suicide to murder back to suicide and now back to murder. This issue which could have been settled in 28 days carries on today with no end in sight.
