Selangor exco’s special aid charged with making false claim and CBT


(Bernama) — Wong Chuan How, special aide to Selangor state executive councillor Ronnie Liu, was charged in two Sessions Courts here today with making a false claim and two counts of committing criminal breach of trust involving a total of RM7,500.

In the first court, he pleaded not guilty to submitting to the Sepang district council on Sept 10 last year a false invoice for the supply of 2,500 car flags worth RM2,500 for the National Day programme when no flags were supplied.

Wong, 51, also pleaded not guilty to criminal breach of trust involving RM5,000 relating to the organisation of meetings of the Federal Development and Village Security and Development committees in Sungai Pelek on Feb 19 this year.

In another Sessions Court he pleaded not guilty to criminal breach of trust of RM2,5000 involving a gotong royong programme in Sungai Pelek state between July 30 and Sept 16 last year.

All the three offences were allegedly committed at the Sepang district office.

Meanwhile, former Teratai assemblyman Yap Soo San, 43, pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court to seven counts of submitting applications containing false particulars for allocations for festival programmes which were not held.

The offences were allegedly committed at the Hulu Langat district office between Jan 19 and Feb 4 last year.
