Making others look bad?

Have you been Jungle trekking before? If you have, you must immediately realize that if there is a single slow person in the group, it slows the entire group. Yes, the entire group will slow down to make sure that the slowest person is not left alone in the Jungle. This is practical. This is compassionate. This is human.
Rewind to 6,000yrs ago, when the first Australoids (Malay) moved out of Taiwan. Yes, slower boats were indeed holding up the rest of the group. And when it came to land, the slower individuals were cared for, and despite slowing down the tribe, all would wait for that person. How amicable. And that “waiting for others” decidedly became part of the Australoid Culture. How quaint. I can almost hear people going, “aawwwww”…………
Fast forward till today. We are no longer trekking for survival. We are battling in a different “Jungle”. Forget the “Warfare” of the past. We fight the Economic Battle. Best person wins. And the deliberate slowing down or Growth Retardation of people, so as not to make others look bad is history. You need “fast walkers” to pull the rest ahead. And I can imagine how the old farts sitting in Parliament who have no more than an SPM/ STPM looking sheepishly-shy in comparison to the new bright and shiny star, called Marina Undau making them look bad. She will probably out-class them in terms of qualifications. With results like that, she will get scholarships, and make the Ibans look good. And in the process, make all other Parliament guys look BAD, right? That simply cannot happen, right? Yes? No?
Sarawakians, Sabahans, time to stake your claim! Yes, you can still “Give unto Caesar…” whatever, but the rest will be up to you now. No one can help you if you choose to remain silent. Come back roaring!! Remember how the Sarawak Rangers were the pride of the Nation? (equivalent to the Nepalese Gurkha’s) What happened to your fighting Spirit? Are you going to allow Marina to be Collateral damage? How many others have been rejected all these years without people knowing? How many other Penans have been raped without people knowing? How are you going to console yourselves, by telling yourself that it is “fate”, or “destiny”. If so, then fine. Be as you wish.
If not, you all know what to do….
