Truth in blogging, the black Magpie version
Is the black Magpie exaggerating?
Or is he inventing “facts” for his master?
The black Barking Magpie of Negri Sembilan, doing his best to provoke controversy, has accused Bala the PI of having said that he, Bala the PI, had sex with the Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu, whose shocking murder has mired Najib Tun Razak, then the defence minister and now prime minister, and his family in lurid controversy.
An amazing revelation. Trouble is, I don’t see it anywhere in the sworn statement that the black Magpie claims to have read.
The Barking Magpie blog is written by one Pasquale.
This Pasquale is widely believed to be former Star journo Rusdi Mustapha, now Malay Mail columnist, and associate of Malay Mail chieftain Rocky (Ahiruddin Attan).
Some people say that Rusdi is, supposedly, some kind of aide to Najib Tun Razak or to Najib’s wife Rosmah Mansor and hangs about the PM’s Office.
Now here is what happened on Saturday. Barking Magpie makes a lot of noise about Bala and Altantuya (below, left). So I looked up the relevant portion of Bala’s sworn statement (below, right). They don’t match.
