What is Rosmah Trying to Prove?


An interesting article written by Rachel Chang in The New Straits Times of Singapore called “A Rousing Call To Arms” which you can read AT THIS LINK reported that while speaking at the third Asean Women Leaders Forum, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor mused that the recent global financial crisis might have been averted if women had been in charge.

Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor was the keynote speaker at the forum which was held on Tuesday. She used that opportunity to issue a rousing call to arms to the 150-strong audience of mostly women.

Her main point was plain and simple.

Women should be seated at the tables of power, whether corporate or political.

2. This is because they possess ‘intrinsic’ leadership qualities such as the power to persuade and the willingness to rethink arcane rules, which, she argued, men do not.
