Detained PKR Youth leaders remanded for 3 days


(Bernama) — The two Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Youth leaders detained by police here yesterday for circulating leaflets alleged to be seditious have been placed on remand for three days beginning today.

Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar told Bernama here today that it was to facilitate further investigations into the case.

The duo are being held at the Shah Alam police headquarters lock-up.

They were detained after Friday prayers at a mosque here while circulating leaflets calling on the Kuala Lumpur Syariah Court to expedite hearing of a case involving PKR advisor, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
