Muslim, Tomb Raiders?

If one is not adherent to the teaching of Islam, is he/she still a Muslim? Can a non-believer, non-submissive person be a Muslim? How if someone committed murder or robbery or rape, do you still consider them Muslim? Do you call them Muslim murderer/ robbers/ rapist instead of Malay/Chinese/ Indian murderer/ robbers/ rapist? To associate crimes or non-believers with Islam is frowned upon because Islam do not condone these actions.

Are we going to raid their tomb/grave when they die just because they got ‘Islam’ stated on their IC?

Conversion still a problem

PETALING JAYA, 15 Dec 2009: Despite cabinet announcements about conversions to Islam and proposed legal amendments to allow a Muslim convert to divorce in the civil court, other scenarios arising from conversions are not being addressed. read this

RYReps says…

  • A Muslim is an adherent of the religion of Islam.
  • Islam is the religion articulated by the Qur’an, a book considered by its adherents to be the verbatim word of the single incomparable God and by the Islamic prophet Muhammad’s demonstrations and real-life examples (called the Sunnah, collected through narration of his companions in collections of Hadith).
  • ‘Islam’ gives the meaning ‘peace acquired by submission to the will of God’

Then, why is Islam being forced upon non-believer (or once-upon-a-believer-but-now-not-anymore) who’re not Malay? Indians, Chinese, Kadazans, Ibans and others who converted to Islam earlier for one reason or another (marriage, proselytization, etc.) were not allow to convert back to their original religion when they found out that it’s unsuitable for them. Bear in mind, they’re not Malay. So, do Article 160 (2) still apply to them? (see below).

If any religions need a PR (public relation) exercise, it’s Islam. In the past decades or so, the good reputations of Islam had been overshadowed by labeling of Muslims as Muslim terrorists instead of Arab terrorists, Muslim suicide bomber instead of Palestinians suicide bomber, Muslim extremist instead of extremist in Utusan Malaysia. Those irresponsible groups sullied the good nature of Islam by using its name to commit atrocities, threats and instigations.

So, do Malaysia want to add another label to Muslim? As in Muslim tomb (grave) raiders, in the case of M. Moorty? Or labeled as Islamist extremist for barging into a forum on conversion and Islam and suggested to ban sale of condom and beer in Malaysia? Stupid!
