AS1M: Malays smarter than Indians who are smarter than Chinese

PNB has extended the dateline for closure of the Amanah Saham 1Malaysia fund twice, from 30 Sept 09 to 31 Dec 09 to indefinitely (later date).

Hidden among the figures are the following:

Only 30.6% has been subscribed so far (24th Dec 09)
Chinese took up 85% of their allocation of 30%,
Indians took up 21% of their allocation of 15%,
while Malays took up less than 1.3% of their allocation of 50%.

Do they know something that the Indians and Chinese don’t?
