Call to probe claims RPK left via Kedah

The Star –  A former PKR state executive council member is urging the authorities to investigate claims that Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Kamarudin left the country via Kedah.

Zamil Ibrahim said talk was rife in the state that Raja Petra was helped by a foreign consul to exit the country.

“If this allegation holds any weight, the police should investigate the matter as this reflects badly on the nation’s security,” he said yesterday.

“How long more would he want to hide behind his sponsors? They are only sponsoring him because they want to take advantage of his writing skills,” he said.

Raja Petra, who was earlier reported to be in London, is now believed to be hiding in Poland based on a recent posting on his news portal.
