Ahmadinejad: Iran Keen to Boost Relations with Malaysia


TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad underlined Tehran’s willingness to expand relations with Malaysia.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is eager to promote its relations with Malaysia as much as possible,” Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with the new Malaysian ambassador to Tehran.

Ahmadinejad also described bilateral, multilateral and international ties between the two countries as constructive and useful.

Reiterating his stance on the collapse of the present world order, the president stated that the world is in need of a new order, and added, “Tehran and Kuala Lumpur can together enjoy constructive cooperation in creating the new order based on global justice.”

During the meeting, the Malaysian envoy lauded the two countries’ proper ties and cooperation, and underlined the necessity for maintaining and bolstering the level of bilateral ties.

“Malaysia is committed to the further expansion of bilateral and international ties with Iran and will follow the same suit in line with the interests of the Iran, Malaysia and the Islamic Ummah (community),” the envoy said.
