MP Zul Noordin defies Anwar, will not withdraw police report

(Bernama) – Kulim Bandar-Baharu Member of Parliament (MP) Zulkifli Noordin says he will not withdraw a police report he had lodged against Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad despite being told to do so by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Zulkifli, who is also a member of PKR, said he would  do so only if Khalid retracted statements he made that he (Zulkifli) deemed were insulting to Islam.

Zulkifli’s hardline view has irked the leadership of the Pakatan coalition.

He lodged his report against Khalid last Saturday at the Masjid India police station.
