To Hell and Back…the continuing saga of DSAI
UMNO will dictate the outcome of the trial. UMNO will decide what the Judiciary will decide. And in the end they will bundle him into the Black Maria again and take him away from his Family, from us, from the work he has still has to do to bring our country towards positive change and decency.

To Hell and Back.
As his court time nears I have this sickening sinking feeling in my stomach which carries my memories back to the time of Mahathir. To the time of Augustine Paul. To the time when Refomasi had its beginnings. And to the time when he was arrested – for the same thing- later proven unfounded! And yet we know that we are powerless to do anything. We are powerless to demand that he should have a fair trial. What can we do? UMNO will dictate the outcome of the trial. UMNO will decide what the Judiciary will decide. And in the end they will bundle him into the Black Maria again and take him away from his Family, from us, from the work he has still has to do to bring our country towards positive change and decency.
Will we take to the streets to demonstrate our anger? Our frustration? Our helplessness at the injustice done to him again? FOR WHAT? To be beaten and kicked by the FRU and the Police? Or worse to be shot on the streets should the Army be called in to “restore order”? And when enough people have been shot and killed then it will be time for UMNO to declare an “Emergency” – rule by decree! No we are not going to give them any excuse to do so1
What a joke our country is becoming! And it would be funny – because jokes are to be laughed at – if not for the fact that it is we, the Rakyat, that is the butt of these jokes. That the people whom were elected to be our leaders are the very same people that have no qualms about hijacking the rights of its own Rakyat for justice – for a fair trial – and for the right to voice our utter contempt for the way these so called leaders from UMNO continue to impose their tedious will upon us all. Using the Judiciary, the Police, all the power vested upon them by their position in Government to do ill towards us all – towards those in opposition voted in by the majority of the Rakyat to bring some sembelance of accountability and responsibility for the actions of these UMNO leaders. And despite all our protestations – they dare to bring him to trail again by a Judiciary tainted by its own ability to dispense Justice without fear or favour!
What can we do? Wear a badge that says “ I am Rakyat. I vote”?
How do we spit in the face of these so called leaders of ours now running our country “ ENOUGH OF THIS PROSECUTION OF THIS MAN!” He has a wife and children. He has been to Hell and Back. Has not what he has endured in Jail, under ISA and the constant prosecution by those in power now entitled him some respite from another trail? I cannot understand why Man treats its own kind with much cruelty and cause its own kind to suffer physical and mental torture for the fear that its own kind will devour or destroy him as he destroy them? A Muslim going after its own kind! Malaysia is very good at this sort of thing.
Until such time as we are able to physically impose our will on these so called UMNO leaders – of which Najib is its chief – I know that we will have to endure the humiliation of constantly being treated as idiots unable to understand what is happening around us. If it is any consolation WE KNOW that they are the idiots. For now we patiently wait and endure what we must. Remember come the next GE – “I am Rakyat. I Vote!” For now Anwar will do what he must to defend himself. Come the next GE we will deliver our votes to those who most deserve them. We know who they are. Anwar knows who they are…and despite all that they say…UMNO knows who they are! God help UMNO for the Rakyat will not! Amen.
