Zul Noordin told to shut up

(Malaysian Mirror) – A gag order has been imposed by the PKR political bureau on its controversial MP Zulkifli Noordin pending a disciplinary committee hearing, which is to start within one month.

The political bureau met today to discuss the fate of the Kulim Bandar Baru MP, who has come under criticism for lodging a police report against Khalid Samad, a fellow Pakatan colleague.

The meeting, which lasted two hours, began at 2pm after a special briefing for elected representatives.

This is said to be the first time the party is seriously contemplating disciplinary action against Zulkifli, who has so far received a rap on the knuckles for various breaches.

Zulkifli’s notoriety grew when he and sevral others barged into the Bar Council’s forum on religious conversions in August 2008.

The forum was eventually cut short.

In November, Zulkifli made headlines again by challenging PKR vice-president R Sivarasa to quit after being criticised for constantly going against the party line.
