PAKATAN RAKYAT needs a facelift to challenge UMNO hegemony

All truths are easy to understand but the point is to discover and comprehend the truth for the betterment of the society which may sometimes sacrifice one’s own political survival. PR definitely requires a facelift.

Trouble seems to be brewing within the Pakatan faction. There seems to be animosity between the partners that fair well for UMNO. The trouble with this coalition seems to be politically driven rather than addressing the rakyats’ per diem issues at hand that they are able to make the change at least in the current four (4) states that they control.

Let’s look at their brothers in arms. You have a wild card in Zulkifli Noordin; yet the Honourable Anwar will continue to tolerate him although the party leaders have been warned about him.

Then, we have DAP Indian mandores ie Ramasamy & Sivanesan courting ASP Vasanthakumar & Ganapathi Rau in castigating the other HINDRAF leaders with various allegations probably due to the exerted pressure by the almighty LGE who thinks that he is invincible.

The latest spate that is occurring within the PKR faction in Penang is through Bayan Baru MP Zahrain Hashim who may be frustrated by the subservient attitude that his party needs to abide by for the benefit of the DAP powerhouse; at least in Penang.

There are many disgruntling issues in Penang that do not meet the eyes of the voters other than the media camouflage that we have seen in Kg Buah Pala & Kampung Melayu Tanjung Tokong to sway the truth for political survival.

In UMNO, we have seen and experienced their expertise in political survival. Yet, it seems that PR is indulging in a similar fashion with the rhetoric between their partners within the coalition and pressure groups such as HINDRAF.

For a start, have these four states taken any initiate to start a campaign for voters’ registration that will eventually hold the power over the nation? Not a chance. You don’t hear anything of this sort as they are busy politicking over who is better and why this and why that. Have these parties made any serious attempts in engaging NGOs and pressure groups to address various issues relating to birth certificates, welfare, socio-development of the people? They don’t have to come looking for you, you have to go looking for them as that is what you are paid for to serve your constituency. Does this really happen?

The point here is how saturated have PAKATAN become in their so-called Ketuanan Rakyat for political survival.

The media fist fights should be directed against UMNO; not at a pressure group like HINDRAF as seen in the run-up to the Kg Buah Pala issue and the diversion that had been created by the DAP mandores in allegiance with ASP VasanthaKumar & Ganapathi Rau.

Much has been said about Special Branch plants to maintain the UMNO hegemony within the PR coalitions. But to play the same political game of UMNO, it makes no difference to the public if PR continues to embrace the same tactic for its political survival.

HINDRAF has boldly released their accounts to the public where no other NGO or political party has ever endeavored to do so and that itself speaks volumes of their genuine leaders. What good is there in antagonizing them for the betterment of the society rather than parading with any Tom, Dick and Harry with suspicious characters for the political survival in the interim?

The brawl that PR needs to address is against the inherent unjust system the public face under the UMNO-led government and of course now within the four states that PR are in power. The public seeks the change that you can create for the public, not mere rhetoric and obeisance for individual political survival.

The Pakatan Rakyat coalition needs to get its act together to understand and comprehend who their true friends are for the betterment of society in pursuit of humanity rather than being a yo-yo for its own political survival.

All truths are easy to understand but the point is to discover and comprehend the truth for the betterment of the society which may sometimes sacrifice one’s own political survival. PR definitely requires a facelift.
